      SOLUTION: The phosphorus recovering material is produced by using chaff being organic waste or diatomaceous earth being a natural base stock as a raw material and consists of a carbonized material on which calcium is deposited by an optional weight ratio. The method for producing the phosphorus recovering material comprises the steps of: impregnating chaff with a calcium solution obtained by suspending or dissolving calcium hydroxide; and carbonizing the calcium solution-impregnated chaff. The effectiveness of the phosphorus recovering material as silicate fertilizer can be obtained by increasing the concentration of silicic acid to be eluted from the phosphorus recovering material which is produced from chaff or diatomaceous earth and contains silicic acid as the principal component.
