    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently heat an object to be heated with a simple structure and superior efficiency of energy, and to miniaturize a device.
      SOLUTION: A dielectric heating device 1 has an upper and lower two-layered structure having an upper layer 2 for forming an upper cavity S1 of a closed space and a lower layer 3 having a lower peripheral wall 31 extending downward from the upper layer 2 and opened on a lower side. An oscillator 5 for supplying a microwave M through a waveguide 4 is provided in the upper cavity S1 of the upper layer 2. An open hole 7 for communicating the upper cavity S1 and the lower cavity S2 surrounded by the lower peripheral wall 31 of the lower layer 3 is formed on a partitioning plate 6 between the upper layer 2 and lower layer 3. A resonance area, in which electromagnetic field distribution of the microwave M concentrates in a center, can be formed in the upper cavity S1, and the open hole 7 corresponds to a position of the resonance area.
