    • PURPOSE:To reduce the necessary torque of an impellor to contribe the increasing of the revolving speed and the flow amount of the pump as well as the improvement of the performance thereof by a method wherein the central inlet area of the pump impellor is choked, vanes are made so as to have linear-shapes and the angle of the vane near the outlet of the impellor is increased toward the reverse direction of the revolution thereof. CONSTITUTION:Since the flow path area of the inlet 2 of the impellor is narrowed, the impellor is sucked toward the outflow direction of the fluid when the inflow fluid is flowed out toward the direction of the flow path 3 due to the inducting effect, the torque necessary for the impellor is reduced and the performance of the impellor is improved. The vane is linear and slanted until the vicinity of the outlet thereof substantially at the part of the vane 4, therefore, a large velocity head is generated together with a centrifugal force in the fluid when the impellor is revolved. The angle of the vane near the outlet 3 of the impellor is greately increased toward the reverse direction of the revolving direction thereof, therefore, the outflow fluid flows along the circumference substantially and thereby reducing the torque necessary for the impellor and increasing the flow amount of the pump.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to enhance the performance of a pump, by a method wherein a free passage is provided at an intermediate part of an impeller, inner vanes are provided in a substantially radial form excepting at an inlet, and outer vanes are provided with a vane angle reverse to the rotating direction so as to produce an efficient effect on the inner vanes. CONSTITUTION:With the free passage 3 provided at an intermediate part of the impeller, a fluid provided with a circumferential component by the rotation of the impeller flows from the inner vanes 2 (which are provided in a substantially radial form excepting at the inlet of the passage 3) into the inlet of the passage 3, resulting in a uniform circumferential component from the inlet to the outlet of the passage 3. As a result, a large velocity head is generated. Vanes 5 are provided for facilitating the rotation of the vanes 2. The vanes 5 are provided with a vane angle reverse to the rotating direction, and the torque generated therein increases the moment of rotation of the inner vanes 2, enabling to enhance the performance of the pump.

    • PURPOSE:To have a thrust force generating device to be used for car, ship, etc. by allowing a special axial-flow pump to rotate in a circulation circuit, in which the liquid is at a standstill and the pressure is atmospheric, and by utilizing large dynamic pressure produced at the curvature of the circuit by the liquid stream. CONSTITUTION:If the pressure in a circulation circuit as illustrated is assumed to be atmospheric in the condition that the liquid is at a standstill, rotation of a special axial-flow pump 1 will actuate flow of the liquid in the circuit, but because the local pressure at a flow-line 12 is identical to the atmospheric pressure and the lines 9-11 have the same flow area, the pressure is the same as the atmospheric. Accordingly, the large energy given by the special axial-flow pump 1 will have the form of small velocity energy, that can be eliminated by frictional loss etc. In the pump 1 itself little thrust force is generated in the axial direction. Thus a dynamic pressure is generated at the curvature 13 because of large flow of the liquid, and a large thrust force is applied to the overall device in the leftwise direction as illustrated. Thereby it can be also utilized as a lift device, and widely applied to those which require thrust force such as car and ship.

    • PURPOSE:To improve pump performance by radially forming a curved surface of an impeller blade. CONSTITUTION:As the fluid flowed in through the impeller rotation is compelled to rotate in the part of the radial impeller blade 2 at the impeller rotation speed, the fluid slides on said curved surface and a big dynamic pressure is generated in the part of the smooth curved surface 1 so that the liquid flows at the flow velocity produced by the dynamic pressure in the direction of the radial impeller blade. As the smooth curved surface at the impeller outlet 3 is conversely formed to the impeller inlet, the liquid, which flows on said part, while having been rotating and flowing on the curved surface with the same speed as the impeller, loses its speed almost by the rotation speed thus generating a dynamic pressure due to the reaction force corresponding to the residual rotation speed on the curved surface 3. Consequently on the impeller inlet curved surface 1 as well as on the outlet curved surface 3 generate dynamic pressures having reverse directions, and the moment of rotation negate each other producing an improved pump performance.
