SOLUTION: A drive circuit 30 which controls a current flowing in a coil includes a current detector 182 which detects the current of the coil, an error amplifier 140 which outputs a difference between a current command value and a detection current value, and a switching signal generation means which generates an on/off switching signal. A drive device of the stepping motor executes first control for switching first and fourth switching elements and second and third switching elements by inverting them on the basis of the switching signal, and second control for inverting the first and second switching elements on the basis of the switching signal, and fixing the third switching element in an off-state and the fourth switching element in an on-state. When switching the two kinds of control, the drive device also executes third control for fixing the first and third switching elements in off-state, and the second and fourth switching elements in on-state, and entering the current command value into the error amplifier by temporarily increasing or decreasing a current command value following an increase or a decrease of an output generated at the error amplifier.
