    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a rigid supporting force to be attained by a simple shape by a method wherein a cut line extending along a long line is arranged at a substantial central part in an axial direction of a metallic flat plate of rectangular shape, one side surface of the cut line and the other side surface are projected in an opposite direction from each other and its sectional shape is formed into a dogleg-shape or an arcuate shape. SOLUTION: An anchor 1 for a lining terminal end part has one cut line 4 extending along a long edge 3 at an axial substantial central part of a metallic flat plate 2 with an inclined part 2c at one side of a rectangle. A surface 2a at one side (lower side) of the cut line 4 and a surface 2b at the other side (upper side) are projected in an opposite direction from each other and at the same time they are formed with their sectional shape being dogleg-shape. Then, a part of the cut line 4 is formed with holes 5 communicating with both sides of the anchor 1. The anchor 1 is made such that its long edge 3 is welded to a casing, a plurality of anchors 1 are arranged in a proper spacing and lining material is filled between them with blowing or the like, for example, and solidified there.

    • PURPOSE: To form a desirable flow in the melting bath by move a arc to the appointed section in the melting materials while compensating undesirable influence of magnetic materials to generate a local heating for a melting bath. CONSTITUTION: A ringed copper conductor 1 which forms a part of anode is provided in the arc furnace, and cathode 2 which is adjustable in vertical direction is positioned at the upper center of the melted material 6. A fireproof insulating lining 7 is provided at the bottom which is made of steel, and this bottom is wound with conductor 1. The conductor 1 is such provided as to surround the graphite brick which is located at the lower position of the melted material 6, and the ringed lining brick consisted of conductive fireproof material 4, that is carbon-magnesite, and lining mass 5 made of magnesite which contact directly to melted portion 6 and located at the center of the furnace. Thus the electric current, which distributed symmetrically, from cathode 2, and eliminate the refraction caused by external magnetic field, by the copper conductor 1 which is a part of anode, and arc is emitted toward melted materials.
