    • PURPOSE:To reduce the temperature difference at the water inlet and outlet of the both jackets by controlling the discharge quantity of an auxiliary water pump, number of revolution of a cooling fan, and the mixing ratio of a mixing valve, according to the water temperature of the water jackets on the head side and block side. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water cooled by a radiator 3 is branched at a branch point 20a, and one portion is introduced into a water jacket 2 on the block side through a unidirectional valve 13, mixing valve 9, and a water pump 12, and the other portion is introduced into a water jacket 1 on the heat side through an auxiliary water pump 5 driven by a motor. A control unit 7 controls the discharge quantity of the auxiliary water pump 5 and the number of revolution of a cooling fan 4 on the basis of each detection value of water temperature sensors 6 and 8 installed onto the both jackets 1 and 2 and an intake negative pressure sensor 21 so that the water temperature of the head side water jacket 1 becomes, for example 70 deg.C, and controls the mixing ratio of the mixing valve 9 so that the water temperature of the block side water jacket 2 becomes, for example 90 deg.C.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive to improve cooling performance by controlling a motor for a cooling fan on the basis of inlet cooling water temperature of a cylinder head and various informations on an engine operation so as to avoid overshoot of cooling water inlet temperature at the time of transient operation. CONSTITUTION:An engine main body 1 has a cylinder head 1a and a cylinder liner 1b and each water jacket 2, 3 respectively provided in these both 1a, 1b is respectively cooled by separate cooling systems A, B. Then the cooling system A has a radiator 4 for cooling the cylinder head 1a, a fan for the radiator 4 and a pump 6 for circulating cooling water and these are connected by cooling pipe lines 7-9. In this case, a water temperature sensor 10 is provided, at the inlet side of the radiator 4, on the line 7. And a motor 5a for the fan 5 is controlled, on the basis of a signal from the water temperature sensor 10 and various information on engine operating conditions, through and electronic control circuit 11.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten a warming-up time and to improve response of a cooling system to an engine load, by a method wherein the cooling temperature of an engine, a car speed, and an engine load are detected, and based on the detecting data, a draft amount of a radiator is controlled. CONSTITUTION:Temperature sensors 3, 19, and 35 located to each part of an engine are connected to an input device 50d, controlled by a CPU 50a in a control unit 50, through an A/D converter 51, and a car speed sensor 52 is connected through an A/D converter 53. Meanwhile, relays 57 and 58, controlling motor fans 11 and 36a, respectively, of a radiator are connected to an output device 50e, and a control circuit 59 and the like, variably controlling a motor fan 10 according to a car speed. The operating state and the load state of the engine are detected by a deciding circuit 41 and a detecting circuit 43, respectively, output signals therefrom are inputted to the CPU 50a, and based on data from TOM 50b, the speed of a motor fan is controlled so as to match a load.

    • PURPOSE:To enable keeping warm or cold of combustion chamber efficiently by connecting gas and liquid tanks to a passage formed around a combustion chamber of an internal-combustion engine through change-over valves and switching to charge gas or liquid to the passage according to running condition of the internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:In high load operation of an internal-combustion engine, a solenoid valve 8 is closed by a controller 15 to open solenoid valves 9, 18, and to drive a motor M. And the water in a water tank 11 is fed out by a water pump 12 to introduce from an inlet 6A to a passage 6 through pipes 7B, 7A to cool a cylinder head 1 and a cylinder liner 4, and the water is returned to a water tank 1 from an outlet 6B through a pipe 7C. When low load operation of the engine, the solenoid valve 18 is closed to open the solenoid valve 8 to stop the motor M. Then, the air from an air tank 10 is filled in the passage 6 and th pipe 7C to close the solenoid valve 9 to seal the air.
