摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of efficiently removing oil and grease adhered to a surface of a rolling roll, and a metal rolling method utilizing the cleaning method. SOLUTION: This cleaning method includes a nozzle which mixes pressure water or steam with the powder having the specific gravity of >=1.1 and softer than a work to be cleaned, and sprays the mixture. After oil and grease adhered to the roll surface before starting the rolling is cleaned by the cleaning method, a metal stock is bitten between upper and lower rolls, and the metal is rolled while feeding rolling mill lubricant.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of surface scratch on a metallic belt plate by the transfer of foreign matters at the reuse of this belt by fully performing the dressing of the polishing belt used for removing of foreign matters around a rolling roll. SOLUTION: A polishing belt V sent out of a payoff reel 1 is hung on dressing rolls 3a-3c and then wound on a tension reel 12. The surface of the polishing belt is rubbed by dressing roll 3a and the back is rubbed by dressing rolls 3b and 3c. The foreign matters attached on the polishing belt V are peeled out through this rubbing action and then removed easily in a brushing device 8. The polishing belt is moved through a drying device 10 and wound on the tension reel 12.
