    • PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of correcting landing simply even with small size and even when the assembling accuracy of a picture display device is low by providing an index signal delay circuit, a nonvolatile delay time memory, a deviated data memory and a timing correction circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input picture signal 100 for each primary color is stored and read alternately to memories 102a, 102b via an A/D converter circuit 101. An index signal 110 sends a control signal of a delay time memory 104 from a variable delay circuit 103 to a timing correction circuit 105. The correction circuit 105 adds the delayed index signal 111 and the correction data of a data memory 106 set initially on a time axis to form a picture display clock 112. A picture display data is read in parallel from the memory 102 based on the clock 112 in response to number of divisions of the screen, an electronic gun 108 is driven via a D/A converter 107 to display a picture. Or the picture display clock may be generated directly from an index signal by a variable delay circuit controlled by the deviated time memory. Through the constitution above, the timing of the landing is corrected simply.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate dislocation for the display position of a character on a screen by forming a clock signal to set the display position based on an index signal from a color cathode ray tube when the character is displayed. CONSTITUTION:When the character is displayed in a part of the screen, the clock signal to set the display position is formed from an index signal SI which comes from an index system color cathode ray tube 1. Accordingly, when character display is designated, the character is displayed to the determined position on the screen of the cathode ray tube 1. In such a case, since the character display position is determined with the count value output of address counters 12 and 13 as reference and the address counter 12 counts the index signal SI as a clock, the position of the display character is not dislocated in a horizontal direction. Thus, the display position of the character is prevented from being dislocated according to a temperature characteristic or dispersion, etc., in the output of a clock oscillator.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve an easy and efficient evaluation of a condensing plate in a short time, by using a monitor to be driven synchronizing a cathode-ray tube coated with a short-afterglow fluorescent substance. CONSTITUTION:A short-afterglow fluorescent substance such as Y2SiO5 and Ce is applied inside the surface of a cathode ray tube 1. A condensing plate 5 to be measured is put tight on the front of the surface of the cathode ray tube 1. A photodetector 6 is mounted at a specified position of the condensing plate 5 to display an output signal on a monitor 11 through a detection circuit 9. A synchronous signal from a synchronous signal generation circuit 12 is supplied to a driving circuit 4 and the monitor 11 to make the cathode-ray tube 1 synchronize the monitor 11. An electron beam is modulated with a modulation source 2 to draw a raster on the surface of the tube. This enables direct inspection of a part of better condensing and that of less according to the position of the condensing plate, thereby achieving easy and efficient selection of the shape of the condensing plate, a processing method, mounting position of the photo detector and the like in a short space of time.
