    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the electrical constant of an electric motor in a total speed range and to achieve accurate torque control by outputting a conversion coefficient for matching constant identifier output to constant estimator output by a mode decision device output, the constant identification device output, and the constant estimation device output. SOLUTION: A constant estimation device 9 inputs the stator temperature of an electric motor 2 and a conversion coefficient K of a conversion coefficient adjuster and outputs the electrical constant of the electric motor 2 as C2. The mode decision device 11 sets an output signal M to a high-speed mode when a rotary speed N of the electric motor 2 of the output of a speed detector 6 is larger than a given value, and sets the output signal M to a low-speed mode when the rotary speed N is smaller than the given value. A selector 12 selects C1 when the output M of the mode decision device is in the high-speed mode, and selects C2 when M is in the low-speed mode before outputting to a torque controller 7 as an electrical constant C. A modulation coefficient adjuster 10 adjusts a conversion coefficient K that is used by the constant estimator 9 according to temperature so that C1 coincides with C2 when the output M of the mode decision device is in the high-speed mode.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize flexible control of rotating velocity and rotation output through effective control of rush current of a commutator type motor, with a simplified structure introducing mechanical control. SOLUTION: A brush 3 slides in contact with a commutator 4 and supplies a drive current to a motor 2 via this commutator 4. A field torque controller 5 integrally and turnably supports a magnetic field 1 with respect to the axial line that is almost in common with the motor 2 to operate a torque against the reaction of rotation of the motor 2, and also adjusts and controls the torque of this field 1. The torque adjusting part adjusts a rotating torque against the reaction of the field 1 based on the control of controller. With adjustment of rotating torque against the reaction of the field 1 through adjustment of this torque adjusting part, the rotation angle position of the field 1, based on the rotation of motor 2 is also controlled. The field holding part integrally holds the field 1 to operate the rotating torque adjusted with the torque adjusting part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure motor constants automatically by feeding a specified AC current in an arbitrary direction of a permanent magnet type synchronous motor and a direction perpendicular thereto and setting and storing respective inductance components and winding resistances from the magnitude and phase of the AC component of respective currents and voltages after a rotor is stopped. SOLUTION: A motor constant measuring means 8 inputs a primary current i1 and a primary voltage v1 and an AC current containing a DC component is fed in an arbitrary direction of a permanent magnet type synchronous motor 1 while an AC current containing no DC component having 90 deg. phase difference from the AC current is fed in an arbitrary direction perpendicular thereto. After a rotor is stopped, inductance components Lh, Lv and resistor components Rh, Rv, Rdc are determined from the AC components and phase of these voltages and currents. A setting/storing means 7 stores the inductance components Lh, Lv as inductance components Ld, Lq. The resistor component Rdc is set and stored as the winding resistance R of the permanent magnet type synchronous motor 1.
