摘要： PURPOSE:To easily clean an information recording carrier by bringing a cleaning stylus into contact with the surface of the rotating information recording carrier. CONSTITUTION:An enclosure 11 in which a suspension 1, a cantilever 2, a clean ing stylus 5', etc., are provided is set to a transporting base instead of a signal pickup of an information signal reproducing device. When a stylus pressure impressing signal is applied to a stylus pressure impressing coil 9 with the enclosure 11 set to the transporting base, the cleaning stylus 5' is brought into contact with the surface of an information recording carrier 10 by attraction and repulsion between a magnet 3 and the stylus pressure impressing coil 9. The front end of the cleaning stylus 5' is formed into a trigonal pyramid, and a slide face 5a brought into contact with the disk is formed into a triangle, and the cleaning stylus 5' has the slide face 5'a brought into contact with the information recording carrier 10 to gather foreign matters like dust sticking on the information recording carrier 10 into a mass of dust by one face 5'b of the cleaning stylus 5'. The transporting base to which the enclosure 11 pro vided with the cleaning stylus 5' is set is moved back and forth between the outermost peripheral part and the innermost peripheral part to clean the whole of the surface of the information recording carrier 10.

Thus, the entire surface of the information recording medium is cleaned easily and uniformly without inflecting damage on the surface of the information recording carrier and the confirmation of the degree of dirt of the cleaning member and the replacement are much faciliated.
