摘要： PURPOSE:To record and reproduce at the same position without being conscious of a cassette by making terminal positions in recording medium cassettes incorporating a printed circuit board loading an IC and the printed circuit board loading no IC the same, and keeping conpatibility. CONSTITUTION:The printed circuit board 17 loading no IC is fitted in a recessed part 15 provided on the bottom surface wall 8 of a cassette case 2 and arranged and fixed. Further, the printed circuit board 20 loading the IC loads a terminal group 21 and the IC 22, and its planar shape and size are formed so as to fall into the recessed part 15 on the bottom surface wall 8 in the cassette case 2 roughly completely similarly to the printed circuit board 17. The terminal group 21 on the board 20 is constituted of brief shelf-like contact points 21a-21b and these contact points are aligned and formed in the direction of left and right, and an array interval between the contact points correspond to slit shape holes 16 on the cassette case 2. Thus, cassette positions incorporating the printed circuit board loading the IC and the printed circuit board loading no IC are made the same.

摘要： PURPOSE: To stabilize the magnetic resistor element of a magnetic head which becomes unstable by operating the switch of a switch circuit by means of a movable member when a reset cassette is in a device and the device is at a reproduction mode. CONSTITUTION: When the resent cassette 3 is installed on the device 5, an operation part sets it in a reproduction position. The movable member 49 or 50 passes through the side opening and it is engaged with the cassette 3 regardless of the position of the magnetic head 29. Then, the switch 91 or 92 operates. The switches 91 and 92 are usually in neutral positions and an electric circuit closes with the operation. The magnetic field-H of non-AC is temporarily formed in a space in a current yoke 77. A vector H' crossing the main wall face of the cassette 3 has the same direction as the magnetization direction of the magnetic resistor element of the magnetic head 29. An MR element becoming unstable by a magnetic pulse which is thus generated is returned to an original satisfactory state and the device grasps the positions where 29, 45 and 50 operate by related pressing roller 51 or 52. Then, the precise vector H' direction is always secured.

The terminals are fronted onto the outside through a fronting hole 10 which is formed on the bottom wall 7 of tape cassette. Detection terminals 30 connected to respective signal input/output terminals of a power source, earth, clock and microcomputer, are provided on a VTR 14. When the tape cassette is loaded on the VTR, the detection terminals are brought into contact with the terminals of tape cassette, then the information being recorded in the IC is read by the microcomputer and also the information is written into the IC as necessary.

When the reproduction video signal and the reproduction sound signal are detected after that, the control section 4 sets the mechanical system 5 and the signal system circuit 6 to a reproduction mode. Thus, meaningless parts before and after the main text are skipped and the main text is reproduced immediately and the rewinding mode is entered immediately after the end of the main text, then the meaningless parts are not watched by the user.
