摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To desulfurize a catalytic cracking gasoline contg. sulfur compds. and olefin compds. without decreasing the octane number by isomerizing terminal olefins in the gasoline into internal olefins and then hydrodesulfurizing the gasoline. SOLUTION: A catalytic cracking gasoline contg. sulfur compds. and olefin compds. contg. 2vol.% or higher terminal olefins is desulfurized by a process comprising the first step wherein the gasoline is brought into contact with a catalyst having an acidic functional group to isomerize terminal olefins in the gasoline into internal olefins and the second step wherein the gasoline is brought into contact with a hydrodesulfurization catalyst comprising a desulfurizationactive metal carried by a porous inorg. oxide carrier. The first and second steps are conducted by using one reactor filled with catalysts in two layers or by using two reactors filled with different catalysts.

A hydrodesulfurizer 7 for desulfurizing the naphtha fraction separated in the predistillation tower 1 is also provided.

CONSTITUTION:Residual oil from a direct desulfurizer 1 is led into a distillation, vaporization or solvent extraction equipment 2 and its asphalten content is adjusted to 6wt% or higher or its Conradson carbon residue content is adjusted to 9wt% or higher. The residual oil is then introduced into a solvent deasphalting equipment 3 to produce light oil and deasphalted oil with a low sulfur content. Deasphalted oil as raw material for fluid catalytic cracking is obtained efficiently with a higher yield and at a higher ratio of desulfurization than in the case with solvent deasphalted residual oils of vacuum or normal pressure distillation.

The deasphalted oil 3 is led into a hydrogenation unit 4 and is hydrogenated at 350-450 deg.C under a pressure of 30-200kg/cm G at an H2/oil ratio of 200-2,000Nl/l and at an LHSV of 0.5-5Hr so that the total of polycyclic aromatic compd. and polar compd. may be less than 10wt%. Then a mixt. of the hydrogenated oil 5 with a light oil fraction 6 is fed into a fluid cat-cracker 7 for fluid catalytic cracking under reaction conditions of 450- 650 deg.C under normal -5kg/cm G for 0.1-2sec at a catalyst/oil ratio of 5-20kg/ kg and under regeneration conditions of 550-650 deg.C under approximately normal pressure at an air flow rate of 5-20cm/sec.

Impurities such as sulfur, nitrogen or metal is removed by hydrotreating the obtd. heavy fraction in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst at 300-410 deg.C, 40-150kg/cm G, liquid hourly space velocity 0.5-3.0 and a hydrogen/oil ratio 260-2,000Nm /kl. Then the hydrotreated oil is catalytically cracked in the presence of a catalyst primarily composed of amorphous silica/alumina, etc. at 470-540 deg.C, 0.5-5.0kg/cm G and a catalyst/oil ratio 5-15, and a high-boiling fraction of b.p. >=300 deg.C is collected from the obtd. cracked oil by distillation. The titled pitch with high modulus of elasticity is prepd. by thermally treating the high-boiling fraction at 390-430 deg.C for 1-30hr.
