A static friction coefficient and a kinetic friction coefficient between the back end paper page of the cover 3 and the final page of the fold section 2 are not smaller than 0.3 and smaller than 0.4, and not smaller than 0.25 and smaller than 0.35, respectively, or the static friction resistance is not smaller than 0.4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reasonably priced sheet material which is suitable for stationary materials such as a file cover and a case shell and has a good feeling to the hands when holding the same and at the same time does not easily slip out from the hands.
      SOLUTION: The material is composed of a sheet base (20) and a woven or non-woven fabric surface layer (21). The sheet base and the woven or non-woven surface layer are manufactured using thermoplastic synthetic resin, and the woven or non-woven fabric surface layer and the sheet base are integrated by having the thermoplastic resin of the sheet base seep into the woven or non-woven fabric fiber. The sheet base can further be integrated with the woven or non-woven fabric back layer (22) on the back thereof.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cloth for bankbooks which has a flat and smooth nature, is hard to generate curling and is excellent in offset lithography property and ink jet printability, and its manufacturing process.
      SOLUTION: The cloth for bankbooks of this invention is of a layered construction containing a base material layer 10 having the base material, a front layer 11 formed by coating the surface coating liquid on the front face of the base material layer 10, a back layer 12 formed by coating the back coating liquid on the back face of the base material layer 10 and a thin paper layer 15 arranged with the adhesive layer 13 on the back layer 12. The front layer 11 is formed of the resin containing the inorganic powder and makes this powder contain coarse grains of larger average grain diameters and finer particles of smaller ones, where the ratio of the average grain diameters between the coarse and the finer of 1.5 times to 10 times. The resin having the glass dislocation temperature Tg of 40 degrees or more is used on the back layer.

      SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin composition is prepared by compounding 50-99 wt.% of an elastomer composition (A) containing a hydrogenated styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer and 1-50 wt.% of an ethylenic resin (B) constituted of a copolymer of ethylene and a monomer selected from vinyl acetate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate. The sheet for binding is obtained by molding that composition in the shape of the sheet. The notebooks are bound with this sheet.
