    • PURPOSE:To reduce the skin effect due to the penetration of a high frequency magnetic flux by closely forming a metal having large conductivity on the surface of a rotor which is made of a high magnetic permeability material and flows a main current in a solid rotor type rotary electric machine. CONSTITUTION:A solid rotor type rotary electric machine is formed in combination integrally with a rotor shaft 10, a rotor formed by integrating an ingot 12 which flows a main current, or slits further formed on the ingot 12, and a stator disposed around the rotor. At this time, a thin copper plate 30 which includes slits 22 and high conductivity are mounted closely by fusion-bonding or welding to the entire peripheral side of the ingot 12. Therefore, high frequency magnetic flux is absorbed by the plate 30 upon rotating of the rotor, thereby eliminating the arrival of the ingot 12 to prevent the surface loss due to the skin effect. Thus, the efficiency can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce in size a rotor and a coil end by forming a ring-shaped recess between the rotor and a shaft, and forming an end ring of a cylindrical conductor and a flange-shaped conductor disposed in the recess. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical conductor is disposed in a ring-shaped recess formed as a counterbore on the upper end surface side of a rotor 5, a flange- shaped relatively thin conductor for shortcircuiting the secondary conductor is disposed on the upper end surface of the rotor 5, and a bearing side end ring 22 is formed of the both conductors. The ring 22 is formed by casting of aluminum with the end ring 13 of opposite side and the secondary conductor.
