    • PURPOSE:To check the invasion of acid and plating liquid between glass and iron by a method wherein an iron shell, subjected to priming by copper plating, and a metal eyelet are insulated and fixed by glass, then plated for rust-resisting after pickling. CONSTITUTION:When an eyelet 5 and a shell 1 having a layer 6, subjected to priming by copper plating, are mounted on a glass mold being fed with melted glass to be pressed by a molding punch, the melted glass binds the shell 1 with the eyelet 5, further a part thereof fills the inside of pins 2 to form binding glass 3. Thereby, the melted glass is deposited on the primed copper plated layer 6 of the surface of the shell 1 while oxidizing the exposed surface of the printed copper plated layer 6 and the exposed surface of the eyelet 5. Subsequently, after being pickled with dilute sulfuric acid, said cap applied with glass is nickel plated to form the rust resisting layer 7. And, as metal copper is insoluble in dilute sulfuric acid by pickling while copper oxide is easily soluble in dilute sulfuric acid, dilute sulfuric acid does not invade between the combined glass 3 and the primed copper plated layer 6.

    • PURPOSE:To set the internal periphery of a spiral cooling fin made of a metal on the outer wall of a positive electrode by closely rolling it, through process of molding a spiral fin from a band plate simultaneously with rolling it onto the positive electrode cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A spiral cooling fin 5 made of a metal which is rolled and bent to be an arc having an L shaped cross section, whose thickness is arranged to decrease from the internal periphery to the outer one, is wound around and fixed on the outer periphery of a positive electrode cylinder 2. At least both ends of the spiral cooling fin 5 are fixeed with rivets, screws or the like so that the cooling metal fin 5 may closely touch the positive electrode cylinder 2 and maintain the fastening force.
