    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that reduces a force required to operate a pressure release member contacting and separating a pressure rotating body and a fixing member from each other with a pressure member so as to have excellent operability even in a compact image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 comprises: a pressure lever 32; pressure release lever 33; lock lever 34; pressure spring 35; and regulation unit 36. In the fixing device 20, when the lock lever 34 rotates in conjunction with the pressure release lever 33 to a position where a concave part 34a of the lock lever 34 is fitted to a supporting point 32b of the pressure lever 32, a contact surface 34b of the lock lever 34 is brought into contact with a contact surface 36a of the regulation unit 36. Accordingly, the lock lever 34 is regulated from rotating to move up to and beyond an angle at which the concave part 34a is fitted to the supporting point 32b.
