    • PURPOSE:To maintain the evaporated quantity of LNG at the maximum without letting seawater freeze, by detecting the temperature or pressure of a hermetically enclosed medium to keep the stable evaporated state of the LNG without the freezing of the seawater. CONSTITUTION:The pressure of the medium of a heat exchanger 1 is detected by a pressure controller 7. When the seawater in seawater tubes 2 is likely to freeze due to the drop in the pressure of the medium 9, a pressure drop signal is supplied from the controller 7 and a selector 8 sends the signal, with priority, to an automatic valve 6 to reduce the flow rate of LNG to keep the temperature of the medium 9 from dropping, to enable the continuation of evaporation of the LNG. The LNG evaporated by the heat exchanger 1 is heated by a heater 4 and supplied to a user. In this liquefied gas evaporator with the hermetically enclosed medium 9, the temperature of the medium is controlled not to become lower than a prescribed level, so that the seawater which is a heat source is prevented from freezing due to the drop in the temperature of the medium, thus enabling the continuation of the evaporation.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of a concrete layer due to thermal stress without requiring to dig the ground deeply and with a thin wall in thickness by burying a cylindrical tank proper comprised of the concrete layer, a heater, a cold reserving layer, and a film layer in parallel to the earth surface. CONSTITUTION:A low temperature tank 1 is provided with a cylindrical tank proper 2 with both ends closed, and the tank proper 2 is horizontally buried under the ground so that its axial direction is nearly in parallel to the earth surface. A lead pipe 3 feeding or discharging a low temperature liquid is provided on the tank proper 2 so that its tip is protruded on the ground. The wall of the tank proper 2 is comprised of a concrete layer 5 provided in a metal mold frame 4, a cold reserving layer 6 and a film layer 8 provided inside it in sequence, and a heater 7 inserted between the concrete layer and cold reserving layer. The inner periphery of the concrete layer 5 is heated by the heater 7 to reduce the temperature difference with the outer periphery and to reduce the thermal stress.
