CONSTITUTION:A heater is pressingly contacted with the end inner face of a tubular coupler and the end outer face of tubes by the moving of one clamper for heating. Upon the contact of the heater, a start switch 25 turns ON and the timer 33 of a controller 32 is actuated. At the same time, a display lamp 38 flickers to display a heating and holding process, and before a given time for time-up of the timer 33, an intermittent sound is generated by a buzzer 41 to notify the ending of the process. The display lamp 38 is turned off as the process is ended, a continuous sound is generated by a buzzer 42 for a fixed period of time to notify a heater removal process. If the heater is not removed out during the period, the welding process of the tubes and the coupler is interrupted by the clamp responding to the demagnetization of the solenoid 30. Even for the following welding and cooling processes, stable, high-quality socket welding can be performed by easy operation in the same manner.
