CONSTITUTION:This musical sound synthesizing device is provided with a waveform memory 6 stored with the waveform data of plural cycles which have a waveform value '0' at the start point and end point of each cycle and are marked at the start point of each cycle, address generators 61a-61d which generate multi-layered phase data varying at a constant rate to values corresponding to the end point from a value corresponding to the start point of each cycle by giving mutual delay by a time corresponding to pitch to be sounded, reads waveform data of one cycle starting with the marked waveform data out of the waveform memory 6 in parallel according to phase data corresponding to the respective phases, and reads out the waveform data of a cycle following the cycle read yet in response to the supply of the phase data corresponding to the start point of the cycle, and an accumulator 75 which adds and outputs the waveform values of the respective read waveform data and outputs a waveform value of an amplitude '0' in a period wherein the waveform data are not read out.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate unnaturality of control due to a fluctuating signal by exerting a tendency of a centrifugal correction through the production of the fluctuating signal by the correlation noise system thereby preventing the occurrence of production in a way that the fluctuating signal is resident in either of positive and negative amplitude regions. CONSTITUTION:A white noise generator 1 is used as a noise signal generating source generating a prescribed noise signal, a fluctuating signal reference allowable range is designated by a coefficient CF1 generated by a coefficient generating section 2, and an arithmetic section 3 changes a preceding sample of the fluctuating signal within a change allowable range designated by the coefficient CF1 according to the white noise signal at random to correct the upper limit and the lower limit of the range so that the deviation is reduced. In order to correct the upper limit, a delay circuit 4, adders 5, 6, subtractors 7, 8 and a multiplier 9 are used and in order to correct the lower limit, multipliers 11, 12, a subtractor 13 and an adder 14 are used. Thus, a remarkable deviation from the reference value is avoided by using the fluctuation signal to control the pitch and the amplitude of a music tone.

CONSTITUTION:There is provided a midpoint return type pitch bend control element 20 which may be of any one of a wheel type, a lever type and a joy- stick type and delivers data in accordance with a performed value thereof. The output data may be used either for operation for changing a music note parameter or for operation for adjusting the musical note pitches. A change-over means 21 selects either one of the operations. With this arrangement, it is possible to reduce the number of control elements and to efficiently set a parameter with the use of the control element 20.

    • PURPOSE:To generate natural fluctuations by adding input data which is delayed by a delay circuit and input data which is not delayed together and generating fluctuation information. CONSTITUTION:A noise generator 11 generates random noises in synchronism with a clock phis and supplies them to an input terminal 1 of a selector 21. The selector 21 selects and outputs alternate data supplied to the input terminals 1 and 0 at intervals of one cycle of a clock phi whose period is a half as long as that of the phis. Then noise data that the selector 21 selects are supplied to one input of an adder 22 and also inputted to delay circuits 23 and 24 and they are delayed by one cycle of the clock phi and supplied to the other input of the adder 22. Therefore, noises with a flat spectrum become a spectrum which smoothly decreases corresponding to an increase in frequency. Consequently, natural fluctuations are obtained by the simple structure.

    • PURPOSE:To synthesize a voice which is rich is natural feeling like a human voice by setting the formant frequencies of a voiceless and voiced sound signals to the same or nearly the same frequency and controlling each formant frequency according to common frequency control information. CONSTITUTION:In respective cases of the formant synthesis of the voiceless and voiced sound signals the formant center frequencies are set to the same or nearly the same frequency and the formant frequencies of the voiceless and voiced sound signals are controlled according to common frequency control information. Consequently, the formant frequency of the voiceless sound signal follows up the formant frequency of the voiced sound signal. The voiced sound signal and voiceless sound signal are therefore given exactly the same acoustic effect to generate a voice signal. Consequently, the voice which contains an anharmonic component like an actual human voice can be synthesized.
