    • PURPOSE:To form a sliding layer having superior properties by scattering a uniform powder mixture of Al alloy powder and solid lubricant grains or further hard grains on the surface of a strip-like body made of Al alloy and then performing heating and compression under specific pressure and temp. conditions. CONSTITUTION:A uniform powder mixture 2 which has a composition consisting of, by volume, 1-30% of the grains of solid lubricant having stretchability, such as MoS2, graphite, and BN, and the grains of soft metal, such as Pb, In, Cd, and Sn, 0.5-10% of the grains of hard ceramics, such as the oxides, carbides, nitrides, and borides of metals, and the balance Al or Al alloy grains is laminated on a supporting plate 1, such as Al alloy strip-like body, steel plate, and copper alloy plate, and pressurized by a roll 3. The resulting preformed body 4 is heated up to about 600 deg.C in a heating furnace 5 to undergo the melting of the Al powder and then pressurized and solidified by means of a outlet roll 6 of the furnace 5, by which a composite Al plate 7 having a sliding layer where the solid lubricant powder and the hard powder are uniformly dispersed in the Al alloy is formed. This plate is joined to a steel strip 9, by which an Al type composite sliding material 14 excellent in lubricity can be produced.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the antiseizing ability, a wear resistance and a fatigue resistance with an additional process which is simple and cheap by forming an alumite layer on the outer surface of a lining material, by forming a close contact surface over the outer surface thereof so that the close contact layer follows up a roughened surface thereon, and by forming an overlay layer on the outer surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A close contact layer 4 is formed by Ni-plating, Cu-plating or the like over the roughened outer surface of an alumite layer 2 which is formed over the outer surface of aluminum group alloy lining material 1, the close contact layer 4 being laid following up the roughened outer surface. The outer surface of an Pb group overlay layer 5 formed on the roughened surface of the close contact layer 4 is smoothened. Accordingly, it is possible to increase the adhesion force between the alumite layer 5 and the close contact layer 4 only with an additional process which is simple and cheap, thereby it is possible to enhance the antiseizing ability, the wear resistance and the fatigue resistance.
