In addition, No.1 and No.2 decision means (f) and (h) are arranged so as to decide whether or not the detected ground clearance data are out of the stated range. When the ground clearance is decided to be out of the stated range by No.1 decision means (f), the suspension characteristic of the rear wheel is changed. Furthermore, a rear wheel suspension characteristic change means (i) is arranged so that the changed characteristic is returned to the original one, when the ground clearance is decided to be out of the stated range by No.2 decision means.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the diagnosis of a vehicle, by storing, in a memory, a group of data consisting of the speed and travel distance of the vehicle and the identification of wheels when a control and computing circuit is energized to deliver a signal for operating an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A back-up memory 41 is stored therein with information concerning the speed of a vehicle upon starting, information concerning a travel distance after control and information concerning the identification of control hydraulic systems together with information of diagnosis. A control and computing circuit 3 indicates the thus stored information on an indicating lamp 57 which therefore flushes. Of the thus flushing waveforms, a first group of information indicates the travel distance subsequent to the initiation of control while a second group of information indicates the vehicle speed subsequent to the initiation of control, and a third group indicates the identification of hydraulic systems to be controlled. Further, in accordance with the instructions from a CPU in the control and computing circuit 3, a control and computing monitor circuit 7 observes the control and computing circuit 7 while wire breakage detecting circuit 22 detects sensors 11 through 13, and an output monitor circuit 55 observes the operation of an actuator 53. The above-mentioned information is used as a reference for trouble shooting.

As a result, the vehicle maintains a constant speed since decrease of the vehicle speed is compensated by increase of tractive force.

The speed/acceleration detector 14 has a speed pulse generation circuit 20, a measuring circuit 22 for the number of speed pulses and a section time and a speed/acceleration computing circuit 24. Then, the number of speed pulses and the section time are arithmetically averaged separately to determine the speed and acceleration from the average number of pulses and the average section time.
