    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction welding method of covered wires and a friction welding device, capable of conductively connecting together a plurality of covered wires bundled together without stripping off individual coverings when the plurality of covered wires are bundled by a terminal connector. SOLUTION: A plurality of covered wires 10a bundled together are inserted into a pressure-attaching part 12a of a terminal connector 12, and a cut surface 10b is formed by cutting end portions of the covered wires 10a and of the terminal connector 12 so that they form an angle θ to a ring 12b of the terminal connector 12. A metallic tip 18 held by an electromagnetic chuck 20 on an end of a welding head 22 rotating at high speed is pressed against the cut surface 10b, the end portions of the covered wires 10a and of the terminal connector 12 are melted by frictional heat of the two and then cooled down. Resultantly, the metallic tip 18 and the end portions of the covered wires 10a and of the terminal connector 12 are unified, and the conduction between the respective covered wires 10a is secured via the metallic tip 18.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the influence of leakage flux upon characteristics of a rotating machine while strength of an ion core is ensured, by applying modification for reducing permeability to a part of at least one iron core of a rotor and a stator in which leakage flux is generated. SOLUTION: Recessed slits 12 which are formed in the same direction as a rotating shaft, and a plurality of big and small polar parts 14a, 14b which are formed between the slits 12, are arranged on the outer surface of a rotor iron core 10 of an inner magnet rotor of a rotating machine. Slots 16 for inserting permanent magnets are arranged on base parts of every other polar parts 14a. Bridge parts 20 of side parts of short sides of the slots 16 are irradiated with a laser beam and treated by heating. Permeability of the slots 16 is made lower than that of other parts. As a result, the influence of leakage flux upon characteristics of the rotating machine can be improved without reducing the thicknesses of the bridge parts 20.
