摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in moldability, heat resistance, rigidity, water resistance and surface properties by adding a layered silicate to a mixture of a polyamide resin with an aromatic vinyl homopolymer or copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprising a polyamide resin (A), an aromatic vinyl homopolymer or copolymer (B) and a layered silicate (C) homogeneously dispersed in components A and/or B. The mixing ratio is such that about 0.05-30 pts.wt. component C is mixed with 100 pts.wt. mixture of about 10-90wt.% component A with about 90-10wt.% component B. A desirable component A is a resin having an average mol.wt. of 9000-30000. A desirable component B is polystyrene, an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene graft polymer or the like. Examples of component C include montmorillonite, hectorite, beidellite and nontronite, and especially montmorillonite is desirable.

When the compsn. is subjected to a heating and electric field impression treatment, the thermal stability of the optical nonlinearity is improved by the crosslinked body structure. The nonlinearity of the optical nonlinear component is improved by the co-existence of the high-polymer thermally crosslinkable material.

Converting an oxdiazole compd. and/or a thiadiazole compd. into a metal complex decreases the crystallinity and improves the electron transport function, luminescent function, and stability of the element.

The guest molecule is preferably an oligomer or a polymer having a molecular weight of 1000-100,000. The clay composite material is preferably kneaded into a rubber material.

SOLUTION: This compounded clay comprises a layer clay mineral 7 dispersed in an infinitely swollen state as a layer unit in matrix molecules 1 having nonpolar side chains 10. The matrix molecules 1 are composed of a polysiloxane or a polyoxyalkylene. Organic onium ions 6 and the matrix molecules 1 are interposed between layers of the layer clay mineral 7. The layer clay mineral 7 is bonded to the organic onion ions 6 through ionic bonding and further to he matrix molecules 1 through hydrogen bonding. The molecular length of the nonpolar side chains 10 in the matrix molecules 1 is same as or larger than that of an organic main chain part of the organic onium ions 6.

The first guest molecule 1 and the second guest molecule 2 are at least partially interposed between layers of the clay mineral 7.
