    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation assisting device of a rotary press-fitting machine for a columnar member, which does not mar the stability of the rotary press-fitting machine and can smoothly switch to its original rotation transmitting mode when a load imposed on the machine is decreased to such a degree that an existing motor alone can rotate the columnar member, after assistance of rotation by the assisting device.
      SOLUTION: The rotary press-fitting machine hangs the columnar member by connecting one end of the columnar member to an output shaft of a rotation driving section inclusive of the motor, which is vertically movably supported by a leader mast. Then the rotation assisting devices of the rotary press-fitting machine for the columnar member, are vertically movably supported by the leader mast. Each rotation assisting device is comprised of a rotary body and an annular rocking body arranged concentrically with each other in an individually rotatable manner; a rocking driving means for rocking the rocking body; a one-way clutch mechanism for connecting the rocking body and the rotary body together at the time of rocking of the rocking body in one direction in order to transmit the rocking to the rotary body but canceling the connection at the time of rocking of the rocking body in the other direction; a vertically moving means for vertically moving the rotation assisting device; and a connecting means for detachably connecting the rotary body to the output shaft of the rotation driving section.

After the filter layers F are constructed on the sloped part 14, and new reinforcement soil layers D are stacked in the same manner as described above to complete a reinforcement banking part G.
