    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide, at comparatively reasonable price, a compact, high-performance, and highly reliable quantum interfering device which features noise reduction and simple shielding, and eliminates the necessity of bonding by forming a superconductive loop and superconductive coil on a substrate, and by connecting the superconductive loop and amplification circuit through thin-film signal wiring. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive quantum interfering device (a) is constituted by a superconductive input coil 3 and a superconductive loop 2, and others, centering on oxide superconductive films, on a substrate made of single crystal inductor composed of NgO or SrTiO3. On the same substrate, a front-placed amplification element (b) is made, centering on multi-crystal silicon. Two devices of (a) and (b) can be housed in the region with approximately 600X600 micron. Therefore, the size of the whole quantum interfering device does not increase, even if front-placed amplification elements increase and are installed on the same substrate. As a result, reasonable-price FET elements, which can move even in 77K, can be constituted as a whole on the same substrate, and signal wiring can be remarkably reduced, and generation of noises from the outside or inductive noises can be restrained.

    • PURPOSE:To measure a low frequency magnetic field with a high S/N ratio by periodically applying a current of critical current density or more to the superconductive plate provided in a magnetic shield and selectively amplifying the frequency coinciding with the current frequency of a magnetoelectric converter. CONSTITUTION:A fixed shield 2 and variable shields 3, 4 are provided so as to cover a magnetoelectric converter 1 and the temp. of the shields 3, 4 is set to temp. slightly lower than superconductivity developing temp. and the current flowing to the shields 3, 4 from an AC current source 12 increases and, when the current value of the current exceeds a critical current value, superconductive characteristics break and susceptibility becomes zero and magnetic flux enters a magnetic field sensor. When the current value becomes the critical current value or less, superconductivity is again developed and the magnetic flux is discharged from the magnetic field sensor and the output from the converter 1 becomes one corresponding to a zero magnetic field. Since a low frequency magnetic field is subjected to AM modulation by the frequency of the current source 12, for example, when a magnetic field signal of DC - several Hz is modulated by a 10kHz AC current like a heart magnetic field and detected, said signal can be detected as a signal having a band of 10kHz + or - several Hz.
