    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium having reproduction compatibility capable of being reproduced also by a reproducing apparatus based on a plurality of different specifications and lowering quality difference between recording contents corresponding to respective specifications in an optical information recording medium field. SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium 60, at least a light transmission layer 10, a first information recording layer 20, a first substrate 30, a second information recording layer 40 and a second substrate 50 are layered in this order from a reproducing light incident surface side. A reproducing film 41 for reproducing a signal having a mark length shorter than a resolution limit of a reproducing optical system that a reproducing apparatus has and a light absorption film 42 absorbing reproducing light and converting reproducing light into heat are provided in the second information recording layer 40. Thereby, a super resolution medium whose cost is suppressed to the minimum and which has high reproducing durability and higher recording density can be obtained and storage capacity equal to that of the first information recording layer 20 can be held. As a result, quality difference between the recording contents corresponding to the specifications can be reduced while reproducing compatibility by the reproducing apparatus based on any specification is held.
