    • PURPOSE:To maintain the voltage at a load connecting point constant, by temporarily discharging energy stored in a capacitor at DC side of an inverter upon droppage of source voltage. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 13 receiving voltage signals Va, Vb, Vc and current signals Ia, Ib, Ic from the output terminal 14 of a voltage compensator 15 controls an inverter 9 to maintain the voltage at the output terminal 14 at a constant level. Since the voltage of a capacitor 10 is controlled through a control circuit not shown to a constant level, effective current flowing steadily through the inverter 9 is brought to zero and only reactive current flows. Consequently, the voltage at the output terminal 14 is maintained constant, under steady state, by the reactive current flowing through the inverter 9. When the voltage at the output 14 drops temporarily, the control circuit 13 functions instantaneously to maintain the voltage at the output terminal 14 constant. Consequently, charges stored in the capacitor 10 are discharged and effective power is fed from the inverter 9 to a load 3, thus maintaining the output voltage constant.

    • PURPOSE:To switch 1st and 2nd power sources without generating service interruption by connecting both the power sources through a semiconductor switch, and when the power supply voltage of any one of the power sources is dropped, conducting the switch. CONSTITUTION:Power is supplied from the 1st power source 1 to a load 3 through a switch 3 and power is also supplied from the 2nd power source 2 to a load 7 through a switch 4. At the time of normal state, voltage at a point A is equal to that at a point B and the voltage is inputted to a control circuit 11 through voltage transformers 10a, 10b, but no output is generated from the circuit 11. When abnormality is generated in the power source 1 and the voltage at the point A is dropped, the circuit 11 generates a gage ignition signal to ignite thyristors 8a, 8b and to connect a thyristor switch 9. Since power is supplied from the power supply 2 to the load 6 through the switch 9, the voltage is instantaneously recovered and to service interruption can be attained at the point A.
