      SOLUTION: This head supporting device is provided with a support arm, a head attached to the lower face of one end of the support arm, a recording medium on which the head records a signal, a bearing part holding the support arm in a freely turnable way and turnable in the radial direction of the recording medium, a plate spring for giving energization force in the direction of the recording medium to the support arm, a pair of pivots provided so as to come into contact with the support arm and having a capability to turn the support arm perpendicularly to a recording surface of the recording medium, a fixing means for fixing the plate spring to the bearing part and an adjusting means for adjusting the height of the fixing means and varying the volume of deformation of the plate spring.

Since the fixed cam 32 is formed not wholly but only partly on the outer periphery of the stator 31, the stator 31 is manufactured relatively easily by molding or the like.
