摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a mold for press molding, capable of repeatedly press molding a high-melting optical glass device having various kinds of shapes. CONSTITUTION:A Cu-Mo alloy processing layer 12 excellent in heat resistance and workability in cutting process is formed as a cuttingprocessing layer on the upper surface of a high-strength base material 13. After the processing layer is precisely processed so as to have a desired shape, the processing layer is coated with a protecting layer 11 of a Pt-Ir alloy. This press molding enables repeated press molding of optical glass so as to form a high-melting optical glass device having various kinds of shapes. Accordingly, this method enables low-cost mass-production of a high-melting optical glass device having a shape which can not be obtained by the conventional press molding method.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a die for press-forming an optical glass element with a high precision and a high resistance, by forming a layer for precise processing with a phosphorus containing high heat resistant membrane on a high strength basic material of the die, and then, after its precise processing to a desired shape, by forming a protecting layer of a noble metal type alloy membrane. CONSTITUTION:A basic material for a die 11 having a sufficient strength capable of resisting to a press forming of a glass, is made by using a super hard alloy mainly composed of WC, a cermet mainly composed of TiC or TiN, or a sintered material of WC, and roughly processed by an electric discharge machining, etc. Then on the basic material for the die 11, a highly heat resistant membrane 12 is formed together with formation of a layer for cut processing 13 with a P ion injection to its surface by an ion injecting device to improve its property for cutting works. Next, after a precise processing of the layer for cut processing 13 to a desired shape, a membrane of noble metal type alloy containing at least one or more of metals selected from among Pt, Pd, Ir, Rh, Os, Ru, Re, W or Ta, is formed as a protecting layer 14 to obtain a die for press-forming an optical glass element.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a metallic mold for press forming an optical element so as to readily form the optical element using a high-melting glass material at a low cost with a high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:An interlayer 4 (e.g. Ni-Co) good in adhesion to a high-melting preform 1, having high-temperature mechanical strength, and consisting essentially of e.g. WC is formed on the preform 1 and a worked layer (2b) (e.g. Ni-B) having the surface subjected to boronizing treatment is formed on the interlayer 4. A protecting layer (3b) (e.g. Pt-Pd) for the purpose of preventing glass from fusing and oxidizing is then formed in the worked layer (2b). Thereby, the shape accuracy of this metallic mold required for the optical glass element can readily be realized and the mechanical strength of the pressing surface of the metallic mold at high temperatures is remarkably increased. As a result, the optical element using the high-melting glass material can be formed with a high accuracy.

In brief, at a liquid crystal display element, light incident in a spacer part at the time of voltage non-impression is shaded or attenuated by this crystalline ceramic spacer 12 with the shadability or opacity. In addition, even if external pressure is added during an orientation process such as rubbing and an assembling process, the spacer 12 is not traveled in a clearance of the liquid crystal display element. With this constitution, such a display that is less in any display unevenness, high in contrast and excellent in display quality is manufacturable at low cost.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily produce an original plate for a high precision information memory disk by forming the unevennesses becoming the guiding grooves for a tracking servo on an aluminum film by etching and thereafter removing a resist and performing ion implantation of nitrogen to change the aluminum film into an aluminum nitride film. CONSTITUTION:A sintered hard alloy base material 11 having WC as a main component is mirror-finished and an aluminum film 12 is formed by a sputtering method. Then a positive photoresist 13 is spin-coated on the alloy film and the spiral guide grooves are patterned. Thereafter while keeping the remaining resist as a mask, the spiral guide grooves are formed on the aluminum film by a wet etching to remove the resist. Then an original plate for an information memory disk is produced by performing ion implantation of nitrogen on this original plat and changing aluminum into aluminum nitride 14. Further as the base material of the original plate, sintered hard alloy is not limited but cermet having Cr3C2 as a main component can be utilized which is excellent in heat resistance and high-temp. strength.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form inclined specular faces each having a very small angle of inclination on a fine pattern by forming a patterned mask of a resist on a substrate and successively subjecting the substrate to ion etching from an oblique direction and from a perpendicular direction. CONSTITUTION:An alumina layer 3 and a silver layer 2 are successively formed on a section of super steel 4 and a patterned mask of a resist 1 is formed on the resulting substrate. The substrate is etched with ion beams 5 from an oblique direction to a normal line of the surface of the substrate to form grooves each having a prescribed inclined face. The substrate is then etched with ion beams from a perpendicular direction to form grooves each having a small angle of inclination. Thus, a metal mold or an optical element can be subjected to useful surface machining.
