    • PURPOSE:To aim at enabling tools from being exchanged by means of a robot device for carrying out assembly work while tools are exchanged, by providing a rectangular flange onto a turn shaft of the robot device, by forming in the flange a hole adapted to be fitted therein with an air chuck, and by rotating the turn shaft by a predetermined angle. CONSTITUTION:After a robot turn shaft 8 is lowered down to the fitting section 19 of an air chuck 9, the shaft 8 is turned by 90 deg. and recesses 16a, 16b in a flange section 14 are fitted onto plungers 17a, 17b. In this condition, if the shaft 8 is raised, the chuck 9 which has been held in a tool stocker 10 by means of ball plungers 11d, 11e, is lifted up since the plungers 11d, 11e are pushed in. In this condition working which uses the chuck 9 is carried out. After completion of the working, the chuck 9 is returned into the tool stocker 10 by the above-mentioned steps in the reverse order for waiting the next working. With this arrangement it is possible to simplify the overall structure of the assembly robot device.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to stably weld with a single ultrasonic welding head even when the height of the weld of every work differs and to detect the abnormality of the ultrasonic welding head by a structure wherein a sleeve, which is slidably provided onto the outer periphery of a vibrating part, and a stopper to limit the sliding range of the sleeve are provided. CONSTITUTION:The position of a stopper 18 is adjusted so that the difference in level between a work retainer 15 and a tooling hone 13 is equal to the optimum thickness of the heat part of the weld of the work under the state that a sleeve 16 strikes against the stopper 18. Because the descending tooling hone 13 stops at the position above the top surface of the work by the set value, the stable welding can be realized regardless of the height of the weld of the work as far as said height lies within the range of the stroke of a driving device, even when the thickness of the work 30 varies. Further, when the sensitivity of a sensor 22 fixed on the stopper 18 is adjusted by a variable condenser 26 so as to detect the sleeve 16 in the state just before the abutment of the sleeve 16 against the stopper 18, abnormality such as no generation of ultrasonic vibration can be detected by no actuation of the detector 22 within the predetermined period of time.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the careless drop and breakage of a tool or a work by keeping the drive source of a robot main body in a nonmagnetized status at the same time when the drop of a tool installation shaft beyond a prescribed range is detected, in the case of the release of an electro-magnetic break. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 1 holding an object is installed on the top end of a tool installation shaft 7 capable of turning around the shaft 6 and moving upward/downward. When the power source of a controller 9 is off, for example, a tool installation shaft 7 is held by an electro-magnetic break 8 and the breakage of a product 10 and the like by the drop of a chuck 1 is prevented. Meantime, the electro-magnetic break 8 is released by the operation of the switch 12 of a battery 11. In the case of the release of the electromagnetic break 8, when the tool installation shaft 7 is dropped beyond a prescribed range, this is detected by a sensor 13. At the same time, the contact point of a switch 12 and the connection wire of the controller 9 are maintained in an insulated status and the drive source is held in a non-magnetized status by the controller 9.
