摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a wholly aromatic copolyester which is excellent in melt moldability and thermal and mechanical properties, and can give a molding of surface properties resistant to friction by using three specified kinds of aromatic ring-containing units in a specified ratio, and specifying the logarithmic viscosity and the manner of forming an optically anisotropic molten phase. CONSTITUTION:A wholly aromatic copolyester comprising repeating units of formulas I to III (wherein part of the hydrogen atoms bonded to the aromatic rings may be substituted), wherein the content of units I is 40-70mol%, the content of units II is 15-30mol%, the content of units III is 15-30mol%, the number of moles of units II is equal to the number of moles of units III, the logarithmic viscosity as measured in pentafluorophenol in a concentration of 0.1wt.% at 60 deg.C is 1.0dl/g or above, and the copolyester forms an optically anisotropic molten phase at 350 deg.C or below.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing highly pure 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylic hardly containing a ring-brominated naphthalenedicarboxylic acid which is an impurity, without using an expensive solvent and without requiring equipment corresponding to a high temperature and high pressure condition. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution of a crude dialkali salt of 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is subjected to a reduction treatment in the presence of zinc, and the treated aqueous solution is acidified to precipitate a highly pure crystal. Further, when the aqueous solution of the dialkali salt of the 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid after the reduction treatment is treated with an absorbent, the purer crystal can be obtained. The crude dialkali salt of the 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is preferably the one obtained by adding the crude 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid to an aqueous solution obtained by dissolving one or more selected from a group of sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate and ammonia in an amount of the neutralizing equivalent or more.

摘要： PURPOSE:To give excellent mechanical properties to resin by a method wherein a heat resistant resin stock molded body, the polycondensation reaction of which is not completed, is heated from one end and upwards so as to proceed the reaction in regular sequence in order to polymerize the body and to remove secondary product by shifting it to unreacted side. CONSTITUTION:A stock compact 7a is obtained by compressing the predetermined amount of heat resistant resin stock 7, which is filled in a mold 1, with an upper punch 2 and a lower punch 3 and, after that, heated with heaters 4, 5 and 6, which are provided at the periphery of the mold 1. When gas develops as secondary product, the lower part of the stock compact 7a is heated up to its reaction temperature, resulting in ascending secondary gas, which develops as polymerization proceeds, through the unreacted part of the stock compact 7a. Next, the middle part of the stock compact is heated with the middle heater 5 so as to proceed the reaction. Further, its upper part is heated with the upper heater 6 so as to proceed the reaction in order to complete the polymerization. After the development of the gas ends, the compact is again compressed with the upper and lower punches 2 and 3 under the state that the heating temperature is kept on holding so as to obtain a polymer compact by lowering it to room temperature through natural cooling.
