    • PURPOSE:To extend a leak detection monitor region by providing a moisture heated layer around a part of heat sensitive points of a multipoint heat sensitive sensor having plural heat sensitive points and detecting the difference between outputs of heat sensitive points near this layer and outputs of the other heat sensitive points. CONSTITUTION:A multipoint heat sensitive sensor 10 having heat sensitive points 101-108 is provided in a heat insulator 3 covering the surface of a cooling system pipe 1 in which a high-temperature and high-pressure cooling water is flowed. Heat sensitive points 101, 102, and 103 and heat sensitive points 104... are paired, and a moisture heated layer 12 is provided around heat sensitive points 102, 104, 106, and 108 of ones of pairs. If leaked water 4 penetrates, the temperature near the hear sensitive point 104 is raised by the moisture heated layer 12 to generate a significant thermoelectromotive force in the output of the multipoint heat sensitive sensor 10. By this output signal, an alarm device 124 is operated through an amplifier 121 and a comparator 123.
