    • PURPOSE:To improve lamp starting and a maintainance rate of a flux of light by making an alumina coating quantity of an alumina film of a lamp glass tube to be a fixed quantity while making average resistance value of a conductive film in the central part of a glass tube to be the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:An alumina protective film 3 is applied on a transparent conductive film 2 formed inside a lamp glass tube 1. As an alumina application liquid, alumina powder having the grain diameter not exceeding 50mum is suspended in a pure water for being well dispersed, while a proper quantity of surface activator is added and said liquid is poured into from the top of the glass tube 1 for being dried. Then, the alumina coating quantity is made to be 0.05-0.12mg/ cm . Further, the average resistance value of the conductive film in the central part except both end parts of the glass tube 1 is made to be 0.05-0.35kOMEGA/cm. Thereby, discharge starting voltage at a low temperature is lowered for improving starting while improving a maintainance rate of a flux of light.

    • PURPOSE:To solve a problem of interwinding of filaments each other, reduce the rate of fault and shorten a process of work by cutting a linear filament after tying it. CONSTITUTION:A linear filament 2 has a construction wherein a fine tungsten line 5 is loosely wound round a tungsten core 4. This is finished, being continuously wound in a spool form with no cutting while being cut after being tied to a stem. That is, firstly, as shown in Fig. (a), the linear filament 2 is tied to the stem 6. Next, as shown in Fig. (b), the filament 2 is cut in a fixed position in a short time by a laser beam radiation device 7. In this way, mounts 8 shown in Fig. (c) are manufactured in turn.
