    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat sushi efficiently and quickly by using surface wave and prevent sparks between sushi's by providing a bonding member for elastically bonding a plate-shaped conductor member and upper and lower cases and partially cutting off the bonding member so as to communicate spaces defined by the cases with each other. SOLUTION: A small flange part provided on a circumference of a plate- shaped conductor member 14 is sandwiched between upper and lower bonding parts 12, 13. An adhesive 15 is provided on circumferences 15 of upper and lower cases 10, 11 in order to bond the upper and lower bonding parts 12, 13 to the plate-shaped conductor member 14 elastically. Part of the adhesive 15 between the bonding parts 12, 13 is cut off so as to form an air hole 16 for communicating inner and outer spaces of the upper and lower cases with each other. A surface wave generator having such a constitution is disposed on a rotary table 8 and when a frozen sushi 21 is put on it and magnetrons 2, 3 are activated, then surface wave is generated on a top face of the upper case so that the frozen sushi 21 is heated. In addition to the surface wave, high frequency radio waves radiated from connection ports 6, 7 also contribute to heating.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a surface wave generating body which is capable of being taken in/out of a heating chamber easily. SOLUTION: This surface wave generating body is constituted of a ceramic upper case 10 which has a prescribed dielectric loss value and whose central side is swelled upward against its circumferential part, a ceramic lower case 11 which has a dielectric loss value different from the dielectric loss value of the upper case, and whose central side is swelled downward against its circumferential part, a plate-shaped conductive member 12 having a spread at a horizontal surface in the middle part of the respective upper and lower cases by clamping with the circumferential parts of the respective upper and lower cases, an adhesive 14 which is at the connection part of the respective upper and lower cases and binds elastically the respective upper and lower cases with the plate-shaped conductive member, and an air hole 15 which makes the inner and outer spaces of the respective upper and lower cases communicate with each other by a cutout part of the adhesive. It is thus possible to make the surface wave generating body very easily. By turning the surface wave generating body, it is possible to generate surface waves which have a different property from each other. It is possible to make a normal high-frequency heating device which has no surface wave generating body, into a device capable of surface wave heating.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a defreezing device capable of performing a full-fledged defreezing wherein temperature variation in the internal part of frozen foodstuffs, especially sashimi and nigiri sushi food materials is small and the generation of free water is prevented. SOLUTION: There are provided a closable defreezing compartment 2 which houses and defreezes a frozen food 3, a high frequency heating means 4 which heats the frozen food 3 with a high frequency, a pressure reduction means 5 which reduces the air pressure in the defreezing compartment, a pressure reduction means 6 which measures the air pressure in the defreezing compartment and a control means 7 which controls the power supply the high frequency heating means 4 based on a pressure signal detected with the pressure detection means. The control means is designed to operate the high frequency heating means with interruption in uniformity with the amount of change in the pressure signal detected with the pressure detection means an further change its heating stop time. This heating stop time is arranged to extend with the progress of defreezing of the frozen food 3. This construction makes it possible to minimize the whole temperature variability including the internal parts of frozen food materials for sashimi and nigiri sushi without the application of a pressure reducing device having a vary large power and defreeze the food to a full-scale without generation of free water.
