    • PURPOSE:To correctly evaluate breakdown due to an electric limit by checking rise in the temperature and thermal breakdown due to the loss of a dielectric with cooling of a UHV cable at a test for withstand voltage or breakdown thereof. CONSTITUTION:When a single-core 2,000mm. OF cable is used for UHV 1,100kV with a low loss synthetic paper employed for an insulator to raise the power transmission efficiency, a thermal stability is attained at a Tc=38 deg.C in the normaloperation. But when subjected to a withstand voltage test at a voltage to ground of 1,270kV, Tc=164 deg.C is given and a thermal breakdown occurs with a sharp increase in the dielectric loss. To preent this, oil of an OF cable hydraulic tank 11 is cooled through a heat exchanger 10 and circulated through a conductor 2 in the route of a refrigerant inlet 7, terminal bushing 5, conductor oil channel 1, a terminal bushing 5 and a refrigerant outlet 8 to cool it 2. This checks the cable from reaching the het range of 150-200 deg.C allowing a thermal breakdown thereby enabling a withstand voltage test to be conducted under a thermally stable condition.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a bonding agent from running-off to the wall interior of the pipes and guarantee the smoothness of the wall interior surface by a method wherein a body expandable by a fluid is expanded and abutted to an internal surface of the bonded section, thereafter, the expanded body is contracted and withdrawn together with an operating tube after the bonding agent is set when the bonding agent is coated and the pipes are abutted to each other. CONSTITUTION:In case the pipes 1, 2 are connected by a bonding agent, fluid is transferred from a hydraulic pressure controlling means 4 to the expandable body 6 through the operating tube 5 to expand the expandable body 6 into the same size as the inner diameter of the connecting section of the pipes 1, 2 substantially. Thereafter, the expandable body 6 is pressurized by the control means 4 through flexible operating tube 5 to contact it with the connecting section of the pipes 1, 2 closely. After the bonding agent coated between the pipes 1, 2 is hardened, the expanded body is contracted and withdrawn from the end of the pipe by pulling the flexible operating tube. Thus, the bonding agent will never run off into the inner side of the pipes because the pipes and the expanded body are contacted closely and the connecting section of the pipes may be joined smoothly.

    • PURPOSE: To continuously accomplish the seal tests in a manner to monitor the exhaust gases at all times by scavenging the extruded or welded portion of a pipe so that He gases are continuously blown onto the outer side of the pipe immediately after the extrusion or the welding operation while guiding the exhuast gases into an He leak detector.
      CONSTITUTION: A cable core 1 is guided through a sealed pipe 2 under an evacuated condition into an aluminum sheath extruder and is coated with the sheath of aluminum in the manner as shown in arrow. Immediately after this coating, He gases are blown onto the Al sheath. After cooled down with cooling water, the sheath 8 is currugated by a currugator 9 thereby to produce a corrugated sheath 10. An evacuating pump 11 is arranged immediately in front of rhe extruder 3, and an He detector 13 is arranged through an oil diffusion pump 12. The leading end of the cable having the sheath is closed so that the pipe 2 and the sheath 8 are evacuated by the pump 11. At this time, the inside of the He detecting pipe 13 is evacuated by means of the pump 12, and the He gases are sucked into the sheath 8, if there is any leak in the sheath 8, so that the leak can be detected by the pipe 13.

    • 目的:通过清理管道的挤出或焊接部分,始终通过清除排气的方式不间断地进行密封试验,使得He气体在挤出或焊接后立即连续地吹到管的外侧 同时将排出气体引导到He泄漏检测器中。 构成:电缆芯1在真空条件下被引导通过密封管2到铝鞘挤出机中,并以如箭头所示的方式涂覆有铝护套。 在这种涂层之后,He气体被吹到Al鞘上。 用冷却水冷却后,护套8由卷曲器9进行波纹化,从而制成波纹状护套10.紧急挤压机3的前方配置有排气泵11,通过油扩散泵 具有护套的电缆的前端被封闭,使得管子2和护套8被泵11抽空。此时,借助于泵12将He检测管13的内部抽真空, 并且如果护套8中存在任何泄漏,则He气体被吸入护套8中,从而可以通过管13检测泄漏。
