    • PURPOSE:To prevent damages to adjoining articles by a method wherein, in a package with article such as the fruit liable to damage wrapped by heat sealing and shrinking a heat-shrinkable sheet and film, the projecting ends of the four corners of the package are softened by restricting the packaging material in use. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of articles 1 such as tangerines are covered with a heat-shrinkable polypropylene film 2 having at least one heat-sealing layer constituted of polyethylene resin formed on its upper surface and the surface of the articles 1 on the flange side is covered with a heatshrinkable foam plastic sheet 3 having a non-foam layer as foam layer and heat sealing layer. The four sides of the articles 1 are heat sealed in lines along the edges 21 and 31 of these coverings and then shrunk to obtain a heat-shrunk package. To accomplish this, the sheet 3 is formed of polypropylene resin or a thermoplastic resin smaller in bending elastic modulus than the polypropylene resin and the bending elastic modulus and thickness of each layer resin are set to satisfy a specific expression.

    • PURPOSE:To make it easier to cut off a perforated part in a heat shrinking tunnel by a method wherein, before admitting a cylindrical heat-shrinkable film, into which an item to be packed has been inserted, into the shrinking tunnel, hot air is blown against a perforated part of said film so that said part is cut off partially. CONSTITUTION:Items to be packed 9 are inserted successively into a cylindrical film 6 having been formed by a former 2 by means of an item-to-be-packed insertion attachment 8 provided for an item-to-be-packed feed conveyor 7 in such a manner that the items are placed in the film at regular intervals, each of which being positioned between perforated parts of the film. Thereafter, the cylindrical film having therein items to be packed is continuously drawn out from the former by means of a pair of drawing conveyors 10, while hot air is blown from hot air generators 11 provided opposite sides of the cylindrical film to partially cut the perforated parts as shown by a numeral 12 and at the same time the film is brought into tight contact with shoulders of the item and fixed thereto.

    • PURPOSE:To allow a handle to sufficiently withstand weight of a packaged object by a method wherein after the object is covered with a shrink film having a belt-like sheet both of whose ends have been bonded on the surface of said film, the object is tightly packaged by being heated from the outside and a space for allowing the belt-like sheet to be held is formed between the surface of the shrink film and the belt-like sheet. CONSTITUTION:Shrink rate in a lengthwise direction of a belt-like sheet 2 with both ends bonded, that is, in a direction connecting a bonded end and the other bonded end of the belt-like sheet 2 is desirably smaller than that of a shrink film 1 in a direction the same as the lengthwise direction of the belt-like sheet 2 bonded to the shrink film 1 by 20% or more. If difference in shrink rate between the belt like sheet 2 and the shrink film 1 din a direction the same as the lengthwise direction of the belt-like sheet 2 with both ends bonded to the shrink film 1 is 20% or more, since the belt-like sheet 2 does not shrink as the shrink film 1 at the time of being shrink packaged, a space for holding the belt like sheet 2 between the surface of the shrink film 1 and the belt-like sheet 2 is increased in size, thereby allowing the sheet 2 to be used easily as a handle. It is further desirable that the difference in shrink rate is 30% or more.

    • PURPOSE:To make packaging finish having high-cushioning properties favorable by making a printing aptitude and fitting aptitude of film to a label fitting machine good, by specifying foam density of an intermediate layer, a thickness of an inner and outer surface layers, the total thickness of the film, the modulus of transvrse elasticity and a dimensional shrinkage factor after immersion into a glycerin solution. CONSTITUTION:The subject film is made a three-layer constitution having non-foaming layers and a foaming layer respectively on both sides and the middle and foaming density of an intermediate layer and the total thickness of a foamed film are made respectively a range of 0.35-0.55 and 100-250mum. Then it is suitable that a thickness of an inner surface layer of the foamed sheet and that of an outer surface layer are in a sphere of 5-20mum and 2-3 times as thick as that of the inner surface layer of the side coming into contact with a bottle. When the modulus of transverse elasticity of the film falls within a sphere of 2,500-3,500kg/cm , the same is cut off with a cutter 3, transferred backward with a backward transferring device 4 and a series of processes to fit a label up to a fixed position of the bottle in practicable without hindrance. In the case of shrink packaging, it is necessary that a lateral and longitudinal shrink age factors after immersion into glycerin solution of 120 deg.C for 20 seconds are respective ly at least 50% and not exceeding 5%.
