    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction circuit, by which when calculating image data so as to obtain the most appropriate display color in a color display device, a color correction in which gradation unevenness due to the decrease in the resolution and color unevenness will not be generated, and the display color will not vary for each display device, and a plurality of color correction modes, can be set by using a single display device.
      SOLUTION: When RGB image data is converted into linear data by a pre-gamma circuit, the number of bits of the image data is increased by two or more than two bits to improve a resolution thereof and then a matrix operation is performed. Data conversion of an operation result is performed by a post-gamma circuit, and the converted data is stored in an image RAM. A dither circuit is provided between the post-gamma circuit and the image RAM and gradation unevenness or color unevenness is eliminated with an area gradation by a dither circuit. A color variation of each display device is stored in a PROM as a fine adjustment coefficient of a matrix operation unit, to provide a display device having no color variation. A display device is provided in which a plurality of color correction modes can be set by simple switching.
