    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive imaging lens which is miniaturized down to 6 mm in its total length, while securing the desired optical performance using a simple three lens configuration, and also maintaining megapixel resolution over a wide angle by correcting aberrations.
      SOLUTION: The imaging lens is constituted by disposing three lenses, that is, a first lens convex on both sides, a second meniscus lens with its concave side facing the object, and a third meniscus lens with its convex side facing the object, in this order from the side of the object. Further, at least five surface or more are made aspherical.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup lens which is constituted so that desired optical performance can be maintained, a back focus distance can be sufficiently secured, a high telecentric property can be secured and respective aberrations can be excellently corrected and which can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: This image pickup lens is constituted by arraying a 1st positive- power lens 1 whose concave surface is formed at an object side near an optical axis, a 2nd negative-power lens 2 and a 3rd positive-power lens 3 in turn from the object side. At least the 1st surface of the lens 2 positioned at the object side out of the respective lenses 1, 2 and 3 is formed to be aspherical. Then, a diaphragm 4 is disposed between the lenses 1 and 2 and arranged at the more object side than a central point between the lenses 1 and 2. Besides, a light quantity regulating plate 5 is disposed at the 1st surface side of the lens 1e Then, a CCD being as the imaging device is mounted at the 2nd surface side of the lens 3 so that the image pickup surface 6 of the CCD is formed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device having a photographing lens having the short lens total length and maintaining optical performance of the whole image screen in a well-balanced state by adopting a triplet type, arranging a diaphragm in the rear of the lens diameter, and properly setting a lens shape of respective lenses and a refractive index of a construction material. SOLUTION: A first lens G1 having positive refractive power, a second lens G2 having negative refractive power, a third lens G3 having positive refractive power and a diaphragm SP are provided in order from the object side. In a photographing image screen, the lengthwise direction is curved to the object side, and when a radius of curvature of an (i)th lens surface by counting from the object side is denoted by ri, a focal distance of an (i)th lens is denoted by fi and a focal distance of the whole system is denoted by (f), conditions of (0.84 1.65, n2>1.7 and n3>1.7) are satisfied.
