摘要： PURPOSE: To convert org. waste to a useful material and to recover heat energy by extracting a relatively light volatile material during treatment by using a twin screw mixing machine in which an org. material is put from its one end and the same is discharged as coal from its other end. CONSTITUTION: The municipal waste having a relatively high paper content is supplied from a hopper H into an 8 figure-shaped barrel chamber 12 of a mixing reactor R and is heated and compressed by the heat medium in a jacket 21 in a first material shearing and compressing region 19 by the screw constituting body of every region mounted at shafts 13, 14 rotating at the same speed. The air and steam are discharged from a discharge port 18. Next, the light volatile material is extracted in a first decompression region 23 and is passed through a recompression region 29 and a shredding and compressing region 30 where the waste is heated up and carbonized and the light volatile material is generated. This volatile material is discharge as the material for fuel from a discharge port 26 and is further carbonized in a region 31. A heavy volatile material is extracted in a second decompression region 37 and is led out of a discharge port 38. The carbonized waste is taken out through a vapor shield region 46.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable saving of treatment cost and to make a disposing area of sludge unnecessary, by a method wherein sludge is used as auxiliary fuel for a rubbish incineration plant by mixing the sludge with oil coke. CONSTITUTION:A calorific value is improved as sludge fuel by mixing oil coke with sludge to be generated through a sewerage disposal plant, which is used as auxiliary fuel in rubbish disposal. An article, for example, whose calorific value is the extent of 6,000kcal/kg is obtained by mixing dry sludge to be generated through sludge disposal with the oil coke at a weight ratio of the extent of 1:2, which is used as the auxiliary fuel. As for the sludge fuel obtained by making use of pulverized coal, through which the calorific value of only the extent of 4,000kcal/kg can be obtained, though the same is hardly usable as an auxiliary combustion material, the foregoing auxiliary fuel whose calorific value is 6,000kcal/kg can be used satisfactorily as the auxiliary combustion material. In addition to the above, it is unnecessary to take a problem of a foul odor into consideration, in a rubbish incineration plant provided with deodorizing facilities.

The resulting uniform mixture is fed to a pelletizer 4 or a briquetting machine 15 to obtain a pellet or a briquette having a water content of 20% or below.
