摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a monitoring accuracy of a temperature of item during both pre-freezing and drying stages by a method wherein temperature sensors are arranged at a thermal medium inlet part and a thermal medium outlet part of one or several shelf stages in a shelf, a mean temperature of the item placed on the shelf stage is monitored and recorded in reference to a difference of indicated temperatures of a pair of sensors at the inlet port and the outlet port. SOLUTION: A plurality of shelf stages 1 having thermal medium circulated therein are arranged within a freeze drying chamber 2. Containers 3 such as a tray, a vial tray and an ampule or the like filled with items to be dried are arranged on the upper surfaces of these shelf stages 1. Then, temperature sensors 7 are arranged at each of the locations of a thermal medium inlet port 4 and a thermal medium outlet port 5 in a thermal medium flow passage 6 arranged in an inner cavity of each of the shelf stages 1. A mean temperature of the items in the container 3 arranged on these shelf stages 1 is monitored and recorded in reference to a difference of the indicated temperatures of a pair of temperature sensors 7 at the inlet port and the outlet port. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to monitor accurately a temperature of the items to be dried during both pre-freezing stage and drying stage.
