    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in the capacity of an uplink caused by the transmission power of an enhanced dedicated physical control channel (E-DPCCH) by allowing the radio network controller to establish a proper transmission power offset in response to its state.
      SOLUTION: The transmission power control method includes steps of: the Node-B for measuring the reception quality of the enhanced dedicated physical control channel (E-DPCCH); the Node-B for informing the radio network controller RNC about the reception quality of the enhanced dedicated physical control channel (E-DPCCH); the radio network controller RNC for setting a transmission power offset to a dedicated physical control channel of the enhanced dedicated physical control channel (E-DPCCH) on the basis of the reception quality of the enhanced dedicated physical control channel (E-DPCCH); and the radio network controller RNC for informing the user equipment UE about the transmission power offset.
