    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller sprocket which can be firmly mounted on the sprocket mounting face of a shaft.
      SOLUTION: The crank sprocket 3 has a plurality of teeth 30 formed along the outer periphery and a boss portion 31 in the center of which a through-hole 3a is formed. To an end face 3b out of the end faces of the boss portion 31, located on the side of abutting on the sprocket mounting face 20 of the crank shaft 2, diamond abrasive grains are fixed with an electrodeposition method. When fastening and fixing the crank sprocket 3 to the sprocket mounting face 20, the diamond abrasive grains on the boss portion end face 3b gives easy plastic deformation to the sprocket mounting face 20 to form an irregular surface on the sprocket mounting face 20. Thus, the condition of firmly engaging the boss portion end face 3b with the sprocket mounting face 20 is established. As a result, the smaller sprocket can be firmly mounted on the sprocket mounting face of the shaft.
