    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable liquid crystal composition which has an effect of decreasing a tilt angle at an air interface when being coated onto a substrate and does not degrade a voltage holding ratio of a liquid crystal display when its cured product of an optically anisotropic body is incorporated in a liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: The polymerizable liquid crystal composition is characterized by containing a compound having a repeating unit expressed by formula (I) and ≥100 of a weight average molecular weight (in the formula R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a 1-20C hydrocarbon group, where the hydrogen atoms in the hydrocarbon group may be substituted with one or more halogen atom). The composition is useful as a material for the optically anisotropic body which horizontally orients at an air interface, because of having the effect of decreasing a tilt angle at an air interface, and is also characterized by easily forming a laminate film without degrading a voltage holding ratio of a liquid crystal display, because of containing no polar material such as a surfactant.
