摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a cast product capable of obtaining larger interfacial joining strength than that of an internal chill casting. SOLUTION: Microcapsules 14 having nitrogen sealed therein are admixed with a facing material 13, and the facing material 13 is formed on the inner face 12a of a mold 12. The microcapsules 14 contained in the facing material 13 are broken by the heat of molten metal at the time of casting and the molten metal is caused to enter a vacancy formed by the broken microcapsules 14 and solidified. Subsequently, by means of shot-peening the facing material 13 adhering on the peripheral surface of a crude liner material is nearly completely removed. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system and a cylinder block for an internal combustion engine capable of reducing a warming time, of reducing friction between each cylinder bore and a piston and of improving fuel consumption. SOLUTION: In this cooling system 11, cooling water delivered from a radiator 12 to a cylinder block 14 by a water pump 15 is fed to respective water jackets 16 and 18 of a block body 17 and a cylinder head 19 and returned to the radiator. The total amount of the cooling water delivered to the cylinder block 14 is run to the water jacket 18 of the cylinder head 19, part of the cooling water flowing through the inside of the jacket 18 flows into the water jacket 16 of the block body through water passages 21-23 between the bores of the block body 17. The cooling water warmed by receiving heat while flowing inside the water jacket 18 flows into the water jacket of the block body through the water passages between bores.

SOLUTION: An upper end surface of a liner 14 is made into an inclined surface to be inclined downward to the side of an inner peripheral surface 14b from the side of an outer peripheral surface 14a of the liner 14. Consequently, as a contact area on an interface of an upper end part 19 of the liner 14 and the cylinder block 12 increases and frictional force on the interface increases, connecting force of the liner 14 and the cylinder block 12 increases. In addition to this increase of the connecting force, when pressing-down force works on the upper end part 19, component force to press the upper end part 19 to the side of the cylinder block 14 is generated in accordance with an angle of the inclined surface 20, and the liner falling and the bore deformation at the time of driving the engine are restrained.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multilayer sliding bearing having an inorganic compound coating layer excellent in heat resistance and wear resistance without executing overlay plating treatment by forming an amorphous coating layer composed of metallic oxide or water soluble or hardly soluble salt on the surface of a bearing alloy layer. SOLUTION: A lining layer 2 composed of a bearing alloy is formed on the base metal 1 of a sliding bearing. An amorphous inorganic compound coating layer 3 having a smooth surface is formed on the lining layer 2 by a chemical conversion treating method or an electrolytic treating method. As for the coating layer 3, its structure is the one having fine cracks 5, lubricating oil is impregnated and held into the part of the cracks 5, and seizure is hard to be generate even in the state of being poor in lubricating oil. It is preferable that the inorganic compound coating layer contains at least one kind of metallic compounds selected from among Mo, W, Cr, Ti and Zr. The bearing has good slidability and conformability.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a lubricating coating composition having excellent durability, capable of imparting the necessary optimum friction coefficient to the applied part and effective in reducing the abrasion. CONSTITUTION:The coating composition for lubrication contains 20-70wt.% of a synthetic resin, 20-70wt.% of a solid lubricant, 5-30wt.% of a friction coefficient modifier and 0.5-20wt.% of carbon fiber as a reinforcing agent. Excellent lubricity can be imparted by the application of a specific amount of the solid lubricant. The lubricating performance is controlled by the presence of a prescribed amount of carbon fiber as the friction coefficient modifier to keep the friction coefficient to a desired optimum level without deteriorating the abrasion resistance. The use of the prescribed amount of the reinforcing agent remarkably improves the abrasion resistance and durability while effectively suppressing the lowering of the friction coefficient caused by the use of the reinforcing agent.
