摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good hydrophilic property even in an indoor illumination, to suppress a storage of an oxidative product even in an outdoor and to obtain a good appearance by connecting a layer containing a tungsten oxide and/or a vanadium oxide as an n-type photocatalytic semiconductor material to a surface of a base material, and making the surface of the base material hydrophilic in response to photo-exciting of the semiconductor material. SOLUTION: A layer containing a tungsten oxide and/or a vanadium oxide as an n-type photocatalytic semiconductor material is connected to a surface of a base material, and the base material is made hydrophilic in response to photo-exciting of the semiconductor material. As the base material, in the case of using for the purpose of defogging, visual field assurance or prevention of a deritrification, a transparent base material such as a mirror, a lens, a glass or a transparent plastic is used, or in the case of using for the purpose of stainproofing, self-purification or easy cleanability, in addition, for example, a metal, ceramics, a plastic, a wood, a stone, a cement, a concrete, a coated plate of a combination of them or a laminate is used. When a titanium oxide is contained as the photocatalytic semiconductor material, the base material can be highly hydrophilized.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-water-repellent material having a persistent super- water-repellency, and its production process. SOLUTION: The super-water-repellent material is characterized in that it is obtained by forming a water-repellent layer having a structure with isotropic surface irregularities at intervals of 10 nm to 200 nm on a base material having a surface shape in which unidirectional continuous grooves are formed at intervals of surface irregularities of 20 μm to 2 mm and with a roughness factor of 1.4 or greater. In a preferred embodiment, the cross section in the direction perpendicular to the direction of the grooves of the base material has a shape in which projections in triangular mountain forms or recesses comprising V-shaped grooves are connected to one another, with the projecting parts and the recessed parts each having a vertical angle of 90 deg. or smaller. In a more preferred embodiment, the water-repellent layer is formed by applying a water repellent prepared by dispersing fine particles and a hydrophobic resin in a solvent so as to give them amounts of 20-99% and 1-80% respectively by weight after evaporation.

SOLUTION: The ultra-water-repellent, highly luminous, transparent material provided herein has a transparent water repellent layer formed on a transparent base of which the surface is formed of V-shaped grooves consecutive in one direction, of which the vertical angles of projecting and recess parts are 40 deg.-80 deg., of which angles formed by straight lines connecting the vertexes of the right and left projecting parts adjacent to the vertex of the recess part and by the horizontal direction are equally 89 deg. or below on the right and left sides and of which the cycle of the groove is 1 μm-2 mm.
