    • PURPOSE:To enhance the quality of recording and printing and printing durability after transfer and to perform high speed printing by providing a hot melt colorant layer and a hot melt layer in a multilayer structure of two or more layers and dispersing minute particles on the surface of the hot melt colorant layer so as to embed the same in the layer at the time of transfer. CONSTITUTION:A hot melt layer 4 is formed to the surface of a base material 2 and a hot melt colorant layer 6 containing minute particles 5 having a mean particle size of 2 - 8 mum is further formed to the surface thereof. When the hot melt layer and the hot melt colorant layer are melted by the heat energy applied from a thermal head to be transferred to a transfer material, the hot melt colorant layer containing a coloring material is formed to a recording printing surface as an undercoat layer and the hot melt layer is formed thereon as an overcoat layer. Therefore, the printing durability of recording and printing is enhanced and this thermal transfer recording material can correspond to high speed printing. Since minute particles are dispersed in the surface layer, the surface hardness and coefficient of friction of the hot melt colorant layer and the hot melt layer are increased.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of dust, the occurrence of faulty pixel, and the deterioration of image quality with time by determining the surface resistance of an accepting layer to be less than a specific value, and the surface resistance of the surface of a base sheet at least on the opposite side to that provided with the accepting layer to be less than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The surface resistance of an accepting layer 2 is determined to be 10 OMEGA/ unit area or less. The surface resistance of the surface of a base sheet 1 at least on the opposite side of the accepting layer 2 is determined to be 10 OMEGA/ unit area or less. The surface resistance values of the both surfaces of the thermal transfer sheet are reduced. In this manner, the thermal transfer sheet can be inhibited from being electrostatically charged. Therefore, charges that are generated are easily discharged, a charge life on the thermal transfer sheet can be shortened, and the deterioration of image quality caused by the adhesion of dust attendant on electrification or the adhesion of suspended dust in the air after recording can be suppressed.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate the control of gradient and to improve the sensibility, the mechanical character and the productionability, by forming a first resin fusable under a specific heat transfer temperature, a second resin which does not fuse nor compatible substantially with the first resin and a layer composed of a compound with a coloring agent onto a basic material sheet. CONSTITUTION:The phase condition of a recording material is changed by means of a heatsensitive head so as to move a material onto a substance to be transferred thus performing the recording. A first resin fusable under a heat transfer temperature, a second resin not fusable under the heat transfer temperature or compatible substantially with the first resin under the transfer temperature and a layer composed of a compound with a coloring agent are formed onto a basic material sheet in a heat-sensitive transfer recording material. The first resin includes a paraffin wax, a carnauba wax, etc. while the second resin includes an ester methacrylate such as methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, etc. and a copolymer thereof. The mixing quantity of the first resin in the compound is set to 5 80wt.% in order to achieve a good insular dispersion.

    • PURPOSE:To increase printing speed, to improve printing quality and to save electric power by successively laminating a transparent, electrically conductive layer, a photoconductive insulator layer and an electrically conductive layer to produce a recording material, forming a transparent support on the transparent, electrically conductive layer, bringing ordinary paper into contact with the electrically conductive layer, and giving a photo signal from the support side with potential difference between the electrically conductive layer and the transparent, electrically conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive insulator layer 3 and an electrically conductive layer 4 are successively formed on one side of a transparent, electrically conductive layer 2 to produce a recording material, and a transparent support 1 for holding the recording material is formed on the other side of the layer 2. When a photo signal 7 is given from the support side, the part of the insulator layer 3 receiving the signal 7 is made electrically conductive to suddenly increase electric current by voltage applied from a power source 6. At this time, dielectric breakdown occurs in the insulator layer 3 and an image 8 to be transferred is transferred to image receiving paper 5. The image 8 is fixed by heat generated at the same time.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain high photosensitivity and superior sensitivity characteristics covering all the visible light wavelength region by incorporating a specified compd. in an amorphous state. CONSTITUTION:The component in an amorphous state of perylenetetracarboxylic acid diimide (PTCDI) represented by the formula, R being H, alkyl, alkoxy, an aliphatic residue or aromatic residue, is used as a photoconductive material, and incorporated in the resin component for fixing atoner. Such an amorphous PTCDI has high light current/dark current ratio, and accordingly, the toner contg. it is high in photosensitivity. As a result, the toner has light spectral sensitivity in the region of 400-650nm wavelength region, and also superior photosensitivity characteristics in all the visible wavelength resion. Since the amorphous PTCDI can be easily pulverized, it is superior in workability, high in practicable value, and a sharp positive image is obtained by using it.
