    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a service capacity and a cycle life by containing boron and oxygen at a specific ratio in a carbonaceous material contained in a nega tive electrode and storing/releasing lithium ions, and processing it with an alka line solution containing an alkali metal. SOLUTION: Boron of 0.1-5 wt.% is contained in a carbonaceous material such as a graphite structure preferably in a solid solution state, the deposition of lithium on the carbonaceous material is suppressed at the time of a rapid charge, graphite crystallinity is improved, and a service capacity is increased. Oxygen of 0.05-1 wt.% is contained, bonding with carbon is preferable, and the charge/discharge efficiency is increased by the improvement of the lithium ion storage/release potential of a negative electrode and the function of a protective film against a nonaqueous electrolyte. It is attained by the heat treatment of a graphitized carbon material and a boron oxide or a boron compound in the prescribed atmosphere. An alkaline solution treatment is preferably applied at 60 deg.C, alkali metal ions are stably fixed on the surface of the carbonaceous material, and a reversible storage/release site of lithium ions is formed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air lithium secondary battery with remarkably improve battery capacity and charge-discharge cycle life by constituting layered material with seven layers comprising electrodes, a solid electrolyte, etc. SOLUTION: Two cathodes 1 and one anode 2 are reciprocally layered with solid electrolytic layers 3 in between. A cathode 1 is positioned in the outside of the layered body of the cathodes 1, the anode 2, and the solid electrolytic layers 3. Two oxygen permeable membranes 4 are layered on the cathodes 1. The layered body consisting of seven layers and constituted in such a manner is housed in a sheet-like container 5 made of plastic having a plurality of air holes in both sides. One end of a cathode terminal 6 is connected with respective cathodes 1 and the other end is projected out of the container 5. Meanwhile, one end of an anode terminal 7 is connected with the anode 2 and the other end is projected out of the container 5. The cathodes 1 are for oxidizing and reducing oxygen and it is preferable that a solid electrolytic substance and a carbon material (activated carbon fibers are preferable) having 100m /g or higher specific surface area by BET method are added to the cathodes.

    • PURPOSE:To retard deposition of lithuium on the inside wall of a metal can to prevent short circuit in charge-discharge cycles by positioning the winding end of a positive electrode in the inside from the winding end of a negative electrode in a spirally wound electrode group. CONSTITUTION:An electrode group 1 obtained by spirally winding a negative electrode 2 comprising a light metal and a positive electrode 3 with a separator 4 interposed is accommodated in a metal container 5 so that the negative electrode 2 is positioned on the inside wall side of the container 5, and an electrolyte is poured to form a nonaqueous solvent secondary battery. The electrode group 1 is formed so that the winding end 3a of the positive electrode 3 is positioned in the inside from the winding end 2a of the negative electrode 2. In charge, provability of transfer of a lithium ion occuluded in the positive electrode 3 during discharge to the negative electrode 2 is increased and the deposition of the lithium ion on the inside wall of the container 5 is retarded. Therefore, generation of short circuit in charge-discharge cycle is decreased and capacity deterioration can be retarded.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte air cell which has high capacity, and wherein an electrolyte which is hardly volatilized can be used, and liquid leakage is suppressed.
      SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte air cell is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode for occuluding and releasing lithium ions, a nonaqueous electrolyte layer disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and a container housing at least the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte layer and provided with an air hole for supplying oxygen to the positive electrode. The nonaqueous electrolyte in the nonaqueous electrolyte layer is a hydrophobic cold molten salt and contains a compound expressed by the chemical formula 1. R may be the same or different, hydrogen, a phenyl group, a benzyl group or a alkyl group having not more than four carbon atoms, and a fluoro alkyl group. The additional amount of the compound expressed by the chemical formula 1 is 0.1 to 20 vol.%.
