摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the diameter of a rotor by employing a pipelike piezoelectric elliptical motion vibrator as a piezoelectric elliptical motion vibrator. CONSTITUTION:A pair of rotors 22, 22' are disposed to be rotatably brought into contact rotatably with respect to a vibrator 20 at both ends of a pipelike piezoelectric elliptical motion vibrator 20 for conducting an elliptical motion including a circle at both ends. A DC voltage is applied to the vibrator 20 to be polarized, a first AC voltage equal to the resonance frequency of the vibrator 20 is applied to a predetermined part, and a bending vibration is generated in the face including the central axis. A second AC voltage of the frequency equal to the resonance frequency of the vibrator 20 is similarly applied to the different part from the predetermined part, and a bending vibration crossing the direction of the previous bending vibration is conducted in the face including the central axis. The phases of the bending vibrations of the two directions are deviated to excite an elliptical motion including a circular motion at both ends of the vibrator 20. The elliptical motion including the circle of the end face is provided at the end, and converted to a rotating motion by the rotors 22, 22' disposed in pressure contact with the end of the vibrator 20.
