    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer carbon nanotube (MWCNT) subjected to new surface modification, to provide a multilayer carbon nanotube (MWCNT) subjected to new surface modification, to provide a melted and kneaded composition between the multilayer carbon nanotube (MWCNT) subjected to new surface modification and a resin, and to provide a nanocomposite of the multilayer carbon nanotube (MWCNT) subjected to new surface modification. SOLUTION: The surface of a multilayer carbon nanotube (MWCNT) is chemically modified with silsesquioxane (POSS). In this way, utilizing the steric hindrance characteristic of the POSS, the surface of the CNT is not covered, thus it can be made soluble in an organic solvent while remaining it surface activity. Further, disclosed are a nanocomposite in which carbon nanotubes nano-dispersed into a resin are dispersed into the resin and a melted and kneaded resin composition using the same.
