    • PURPOSE: To improve the cleaning efficiency of treated water by providing the above device with an activated carbon packed chamber, a filter medium mounting section in which the water to be treated past this activated carbon packed chamber is permeated and discharged. CONSTITUTION: The activated carbon packed chamber 2 consists of a cylindrical main body 4 and cap 5. The cap 5 having an introducing port 5a at its center is freely attachably and detachably screwed into the aperture at the front end of the main body 4. A perforated plate-like discharge port 4a is formed at the center in the bottom of the main body 4 and a peripheral protective film 4b is formed by extending its peripheral edge. The filter medium mounting section 3 has composite filter media 9 formed by packing nylon wadding 7 as filter media for packing into a cylindrical body 8 consisting of pleated filter paper. The filter media 9 are housed in the peripheral wall part 4b. The org. matter contained in the water to be treated is adsorbed on the activated carbon and is decomposed by microorganisms. Further, the residual org. matter is decomposed by the microorganisms peeled from the activated carbon or the microorganisms accumulated on the filter media 9. The suspended matter, such as dead bodies of the microorganisms, are filtered by the filter media 9.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to separate and fractionate a non-combustible part and a combustible part by forming a case with a fluid introduction aperture and a treated fluid delivery aperture and the holding member of a filter for an incombustible material and also forming a cylindrical body which is discrete from the case and the holding member, and supports a separable filer for a combustible material, of a sheetlike body of a paper-making material with numerous through holes. SOLUTION: Oil flows into the whole interior of a case 1 from a gap between a valve body 7b and a blocking plate 1e which is formed by the flexible deformation of the valve body 7b under the pressure of the oil entering introduction apertures 1d, 1d. Further, the oil finds its way into an internal combustion engine through a filter medium 4, a through hole, a cylindrical body 3a and an installed pipe body 1c. The used oil flows into a filter for treating the oil from a delivery aperture and thus a circulatory route is constituted. The case is formed of an incombustible material such as a metallic material e.g. steel and a filter 2 is formed of a combustible material of a cylindrical body around the periphery of which a filer medium such as a pleated filter paper is wound with both ends fixed with a plate, and the cylindrical body of a supporting member 3 is formed of a sheetlike body with numerous through holes, which is made of paper impregnated or not impregnated with a resin and rolled with both end parts fastened. Thus, a combustible part and an incombustible part of the device are easily separated and dispose of the used oil is facilitated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve filtering performance by incorporating sepiolite having a hydrous magnesium silicate compsn. as an effective component into a filter medium and positioning the medium in a flowing fluid to adsorb and remove impurities in the fluid. SOLUTION: Sepiolite having a hydrous magnesium silicate compsn. has a chemical compsn. of (OH2 )4 (OH)4 Mg8 Si12 O30 (6 to 8) H2 O and has a three- dimensional crystalline structure such as alternately stacked talc bricks. Unlike normal laminar clay (montmorillonite), the sepiolite does not swell, has empty holes generated in a chain-like space having a large surface area, and is a material showing an adsorption effect or decolorizing effect. The sepiolite is in the form of a block clay or relatively clear fibrous leather, cork or wood-like one which is so-called a mountain leather type. The filter medium has the sepiolite as an effective component and the medium may be made of the sepiolite itself or may be mixed with activated carbon, a fibrous material or an other material as the other components for use.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of separating a contents contained in liquid and a device therefor which is not subjected to clogging like a filter and is simple, inexpensive and effective and enables continuous treatment and has a long life. SOLUTION: In this separation, packings 8 which do not precipitate in a flow path of liquid to be treated of a treating tank are fed from a packing supply path communicating with the treating tank 2 on the down side thereof and installed with its liquid level being higher than that of the treating tank 2 to float and collect them. Liquid to be treated is fed to an aggregate layer of these packings from the up side of the treating tank 2 to make the packings 8 catch contents contained in the liquid to be treated and is discharged from the down side of the treating tank 2. The packings the has caught the contents are taken out from the up side of the treating tank 2 and the taken quantity thereof is adjusted by the quantity of the packings 8 fed to the packing supply path 5. Therefore, this separation enables continuous treatment and can be used as pretreatment of filtration by a filter.

SOLUTION: A cyclone 1 is provided with a device 4 consisting of a cylindrical body 2 having an inner diameter of D and 3-3.5D length L1, and a flat and inverse conical body 3 having length L2 of 0.2-0.25D, which is communicated with the body 2 and further provided with an introduction tube 2a having inner diameter R1 of 0.1-0.2D, which is provided in the tangent direction of the side part at the upper side of the cylindrical body 2, for introducing particles, a discharge tube 2b having an inner diameter R2 of 0.1-0.2D, which is provided in the center of the upper part of the cylindrical body 2 for discharging the fluid in which the particles are separated and a particle takeout part 3a of the separated particles which is provided on the tip part of the flat and inverse conical body 3. Also, a cylindrical filter 5 is provided vertically with a free end whose the tip is opened. The length L of the filter 5 and the inner diameter (d) has a relation to be made as I=4 to 5d, and the size of the cyclone 1 has a relation to be made as I=0.7 to 0.75 L1 and d=2D/5 to 2D/3.

When the annular elastic body 13 projected upward is received compression force, deformation is built up, and pressure exceeds in the vicinity of the stopper molding body 13b, the stopper molding body 13b is functioned as a stopper so as to suppress or block the further deformation. It is thus possible to prevent the size and fastening force of a gasket from increasing, and it is also possible to reduce a contact area.

And in the center of the case member 4, a filter body 5 is arranged through a leaf spring 6 at the lower end thereof, and on the end face of a projecting part which the upper end of a central cylindrical body 51 of the filter body 5 is extended to provide, a recessed groove on the end face of a valve cylinder body 7 having a dished valve disc 7a consisting of flexible material such as rubber is abutted. In this state, a top plate member 8 and the upper end of the shell member 2 are seamed together to complete the cartridge filter 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a cylindrical filter medium without using joining materials such as an adhesive and a fastener by cylindrically bending a flat plate-shaped filter medium made in pleats to make both ends thereof overlap each other and bringing them into contact with each other only by friction force to form a cylindrical filter medium. SOLUTION: Filter medium paper 1 wound is formed into pleats, that is, into pleats in which crests 2 each having a triangular cross section are continuously formed, and is cut to a fixed length to form a platelike flat plate filer medium 3, and also it is cylindrically wound, and several crests 2 at both the ends thereof are made to overlap each other. Then, since the crests 2 at both the ends of the filter medium 1 overlap each other, the two are fixed by frictional force. In this way, a cylindrical filter medium 4 is obtained. Dished frame bodies 5, 6 are each fitted in both ends of the cylindrical filter medium 4, and also a flow port 5a is installed, for example, in the center of the dished frame bodies 1. The filter element thus obtained is used so that fluid can be pressurized and made to permeate through, for example, the peripheral side part of the cylindrical filter medium 4 and that the filtered fluid can be discharged from the flow port 5.
